A Pantry Staple
#Clubhouse artificial vanilla extract has always been a staple in my pantry. It's trusted name speaks volumes for its consistency in quality and value. I will alway use this in my baking recipes.
A great affordable option for baked goods
With its competitive price, the artificial vanilla extract is great for baked goods. However, it is ultimately not worth it for chilled goods, as the difference between the artificial and pure will be much easier to tell. Still, not bad.
the best vanilla that granny uses!
in all of the recipes my mom has passed down to me she uses this vanilla and I do as well to be sure the flavor is just like hers! I have tried other brands but nothing beats it!
I also love that it doesn't add a bold colour to white icing like many others!
Expense (Better Options Available)
I used to buy this brand of extract, and I always found it quite expensive for the little bottle that you get. The flavour is alright but has a mild alcohol aftertaste. It is decent for baking as the taste is often hidden by other ingredients. Personally, I much prefer the Kirkland Signature Pure Vanilla Extract available at Costco and have not gone back since buying that one.
This vanilla tastes a bit like alcohol and not enough of vanilla. It will work ok if you use it for baking purposes but I would not advise choosing it to cook elaborate dishes because the flavour lacks of subtility and might overstep on other ingredients.
I have defiantly tried a variety of brands of vanilla extract but this is by far the best, the most expensive yes but defiantly worth the price, it will make a difference in whatever you are baking or cooking. I usually get this at Walmart because like most things it tends to be the cheapest there.
This comes in different size bottles and I really like how the hole in the spout has a lip on it making it easier to pour into a measuring spoon without any spillage. So although there are cheaper brands pay the extra bit of money to get this higher qualty extract.
