In Esthetics school we used nothing but Vinylux for our clients.
The Vinylux claim to fame is that it's a week-long wear polish that won't chip. I simply don't find that to be true.
Yes the product lasts a little bit longer than regular polishes and i'm sure that for some, it can last up to a week. However in my experience, the majority of people don't get the promised results.
The formula itself thickens a lot sooner than regular polish does because of the different composition. If you find this happens, put a few drops of nail polish remover into the bottle and shake it up, this should loosen the product and make it easier to apply :)
I would not recommend this product. I think you'd be better of saving your money and sticking to regular polish or splurging and getting gel polish instead.
I love the colour options on this product but for some reason it doesn't stay on a week with out chipping for some reason. I wear gloves when I was the dishes as well
japprécie vraiment ce vernis il fait de beaux ongleset définie je vais probablement le recomander a tout mes amies j adore le vernis a ongles surtout les roses
I received the CND VINDYLUX Weekly Polish for free courtesy of ChickAdvisor. I received the colour Salmon Run which is actually more of peachy colour. This is not necessarily my type of shade, but others may enjoy it.
Perhaps because it's what I'd consider more of a pastel colour, it was a bit streaky. I find that pastels seem to have this in common, which is made worse by highly ridged nails which even a ridge filler can't fix. I like two coats, a topcoat and out the door, so having to do three coats to get it to where I was relatively happy with the finish was a drawback. Since I needed more layers, it dried slowly.
The top coat has a great glossy finish, and goes on smoothly. It helped smooth out the slightly patchy finish of the polish which is a plus. I am very impatient with the dry time of my polish and usually use a quick drying topcoat, so unless I had ample time for the polish layers to completely dry, I'd probably continue to use my regular topcoat.
The wear was pretty standard for what I get. I type on the computer all day and I see chipping usually by the second or third day and this wasn't any different.
For the price, I'd have to stick with my usual brands as I really didn't see an improvement using this polish over other brands.
I received a full size sample of the CND Weekly Polish & Top Coat courtesy of CND & Chick Advisor in exchange for my honest opinion & review. I am a fan of long life polishes or "Shellac manicure" and I was excited to be able to have the salon experience at home! Well I can honestly say that I was not impressed with the quality of the polish nor the Clear Top Coat. This was not an easy polish to apply and came out very streaky. I couldn't get even a week of wear before I saw chipping of the polish. This is not what I hoped for. I don't think I would repurchase. Thank you Chick Advisor for the opportunity.
I had received the product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I was not too fond of the colour as it was not something that I would have picked out for myself. I have long nails and I work in an office so I am constantly on the keyboard. Most of the time the nail polish would start to crack or ship after a few days but for this brand it had lasted a full 7 days and no chips and the same shine.
I did notice that the smell of the top coat and the nail polish was different but it did not chip. I found that I had to apply 3 coats. The first coat did not go on well, the second coat better but a little smudgy and the 3rd coat solidified the colour and texture.
I would recommend it to people but i still prefer OPI and Essie.
I found this nail polish really clumpy and it started coming off after a few days (my pet peeve!)
Otherwise, the colour was okay but I think it's thickness makes it not last as long as it should or is promised!
I was not a huge fan of this nail polish. It went lumpy right away and most of it came off my toes while I was in the shower. I think I have uses dollar store brands that have been better quality but that's just my personal experience with it.
Forgot to add that I received this product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club! :)
I was very eager to try out this nail Polish. I really different find it lasted any longer then my other polishes. The particular shade I got was very very dark so I think it made the wear a little more noticeable.
After testing this product for free from chick advisor I can say it's not my quality. Overall the color was just ok. Quality wise it lasted almost the full week. However you need to put on multiple coats to have the effect you want. Takes longer than I like.
