I LOVE this product. My name is Jaime and I am a polishaholic, seriously! I must own 50 different types of nail polish. I swayed the way of nail wraps for awhile because I loved the fact that didn't need time to dry. My two biggest complaints about nail polish are that it takes so long to dry when you go base coat, 2 coats of polish then top coat and that after all that time and patience to get it on, it only lasts under a week. I have two small kids and just don't have hours to dedicate to a manicure. I also HATE when I have to chase after said kids before my nails are dry and all that hard work is undone in the matter of seconds when I smudge a wet nail. Well, Vinylux changed all that. It applies easy, dries super fast and I am on day 7 today and only the tips of my nails show signs of wear. I think I can still get another couple days out of this polish, that is incredible. I received the product for free to review via Chick Advisor, but I just went online and ordered three more colours, so I guess my actions speak for themselves. I literally have nothing bad to say, it is even free of many of concerning chemicals standard polish had and the price is right. I am so sold!
I received this polish as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club!
I was pretty excited to try it out, but I have to say - it's awful. I am admittedly hard on my hands and nails, but I have better results with a regular polish and quick drying top coat than I did with this CND polish. The colour I received was Wild Moss. The first coat went on very streaky, but the second smoothed it over. It had significant tip wear and had chipped on several nails after 24 hours! I was very disappointed.
Thank you chick advisors for giving me the opportunity to try the nail polish and top coat by vinylux. I have had it on my nails now for almost a week and there hasn't been any chipping or wear. I just love this product. Application is smooth and blends on your nails perfectly. It looks like a professional actually did my nails. I normally use a high price point nail polish for the above reasons. Now I have found an affordable product that works the same. I am very pleased with the results. I will definitely be buying additional colors in the future. Love it!
I received this product free as a part of the product review club here on chick advisor, and I received it in the color Salmon Run (not the best color for my skin tone but as it was sent free I couldn't complain haha). When I applied the product, it went on smoothly and dried fast. I did two coats of the color which looked fine, and then added the top coat which made it look much better. However, the claim that this product will last a week did not stand true with my testing. I am currently on break between semesters at school so the most I am doing with my hands is cleaning the house. I found with even a bit of light cleaning (ie. washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning off the bathtub and sink) the polish was chipping. I'm not sure if this is because I did not use a base coat, but I do believe that you are not supposed to need a base coat with this product. All in all, it was kind of a dud for me. Unless you're not going to be doing much of anything with your hands, then I do not recommend it.
I recieved a bottle of #181 salmon run from chick advisor in exchange for a review. I personally do my nails weekly and usually remove when it chips so most weeks never get though a full week of wearing polish. This polish sounded like it would be perfect but I couldn't get it to apply without looking streaky or lumpy no matter what I did. I felt the brush tip was too thin ( causing the streaks because I had to go over my nail several times. It was a lite colour so it may have been just the formula on that color ( I'm on the hunt now to find it in stores so I can test other Colors to be sure) I did leave it on two accent nails for the week just to test it out and it did last 5 days without chipping. I used the top coat on all nails and was very happy with the results of that. The smell was not strong on either. It gave a gel like shine which was very nice. Over all although I was not thrilled with the streaks I feel that not all Colors would be so bad

The lovelies at Chick Advisor sent me Sultry Sunset #168 and the Weekly Top Coat to test out.
Overall: I do like the product. I wasn't thrilled at the colour I received until I actually painted my nails with it, then I fell in love. The product goes on smooth - if you do thin coats. A little goes a long way. The polish dries quickly between coats if they are thin, as well :) Not a horribly offensive smell like many other polishes.
Wear: The polish and top coat claim "weekly", although I never quite made it a week without chips. In the defense of the nail polish - my job is very hard on fingers, constantly hitting the ends of them off of metal. The longest stretch I have made without chips was 4 days, which again, with my job, I find considerably good since most polishes don't last one shift without chipping.
I like the shine this polish has, and I also like the added strength it seems to give my nails when I am wearing it.
The price point is a bit off for me, maybe if it were a couple dollars cheaper, I'd be more sold on it.
In the end: I find this to be a decent product that lives pretty close to it's claims. I wouldn't hesitate to share this product with a friend as I think it is fairly good quality under normal circumstances. I would probably purchase it if it were on sale, not so sure I'd pay full price for it though.
I received CND™ VINYLUX™ Weekly Polish for free from ChickAdvisor Product Review Club to review.
I was so excited to try CND™ VINYLUX™ . I received the Fragant Freesia #187. It is very light and not a colour I would have chose, but surprisingly I like it. I try to apply a thin coat on the first try but it was too tick and I found it applied very streaky. So I remove it and try again. I was able to apply a very thin coat and it still look kind of streaky, I let it dry and apply a second coat. It look really good not streaky at all. After it dried I apply the top coat. It was easy to apply and I love the shine. It as now been 6 days and my nail still look good.
I recieved Sultry Sunset #168 & top coat free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
The color is a frosty berry color, not the usual shade I would wear, I am more into light neutrals, blues, black and silver . Even though it is not a color I would personally buy , it is a lovely shade.
When applying it is not too thick or thin, and probably could have gotten a way with one coat in this shade. Went on smoothly and dried extremely quickly and looks very glossy. With most polishes in my experience reds & berry colors are usually easier to apply and have a better consistency , so I am curious how other shades would be. I love the top coat and will continue to use it with other polishes.
I wash my hands a lot maybe too much and work on the computer all day so unfortunately for me it did start chipping/peeling within 3 days.
PROS:
Applies smoothly
Top Coat is Wonderful
Dries Quickly
CONS:
Started chipping/peeling within 3 days
I had high hopes for this polish. As a polish hoarder, I'm always willing to try new things. I got to try this product for free through Chick Advisor, and I'm glad I got it free because I would kick myself if I paid good money for this. I did my nails in the evening, and 24 hours later they were already starting to chip. A day after that they were obviously chipped. The third day I just straight up took the polish off because it looked cheap. I followed the application instructions to a T and I am not a polish newbie. I have other polishes that last 4-5 days before they start chipping. For a company to put "weekly" in their name, I should expect more than a day of non-chipped nails. Not only that, but with two coats of the colour, I shouldn't be able to see the line where the whites of my nail meets the pink. Additionally, if you don't use the clear top coat, the colour polish itself dries to a weird, unfinished looking texture-- effectively forcing you to use a top coat. I take good care of my hands and nails, and so I could only imagine the longevity of the polish on someone who is hard on their hands. The colour was certainly bright, which was probably the only positive thing about this product. Extremely disappointed, and will not be purchasing this in the future.
Ok, let me preface this by mentioning I suck at nails. Painting them - nope, waiting for them to dry - nope, being careful with my hands - nope. Iv'e been known to destroy shellac in two days and rip off tips the moment there is a slight lift.
So with that in mind I was actually pretty happy with how the Vinylux lasted. I'm on day 4 and there are only some small chips at the tips. Normally I would have spent the last two days obsessively scraping at the larger chipped areas until all the polish was scraped away but the chips are small enough that they aren't bugging me so I can watch tv in peace instead of scraping away showering the couch in tiny little pieces of polish.
The only complaint I had is it was a bit of challenge to apply - not sure if it was the brush or the texture but was hard to get it even and smooth - however let me reiterate that I suck at painting nails too (which actually is rather surprising since I'm an artist who paints).
