It is good, but not great.
I have tooth sensitivity and always try to use toothpaste for this purpose. Colgate sensitive pro-relief is not my favorite. Your consistency could be better as well as your taste. however, I feel better when using this folder.
Not effective, wouldn't buy again
I'm a dedicated Colgate user however I tried this toothpaste due to increased sensitivity and was very disappointed. I continued to have sensitivity with hot and cold, didn't get that "clean feeling" after brushing my teeth and could feel the plaque build up only a few hours after brushing compared to other Colgate toothpastes.
It's not that this is a bad toothpaste, it's actually pretty good at fighting sensitivity. However, I did find a bit more sensitivity when eating extremely cold foods like ice cream, that wasn't there when using my regular sensitive toothpaste. This is a bit cheaper than my normal sensitive toothpaste though so it could be a good option when you're on a budget.
I like the consistency and it feels pleasant on the teeth and while it has a nice minty taste, it does have a hint of that 'baking soda' type flavour that I've tasted before in baking soda based toothpastes, so if that kind of taste bothers you, this might not be for you.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Great job cleaning teeth and keeping them clean.
+ Average to good job protecting against sensitivity.
+ Good value.
+ Consistency is nice.
Cons
- 'Baking Soda' taste is off-putting.
- Not as good as my regular sensitive toothpaste at preventing sensitivity.
Recommended by a friend who thought that other companies are coming up with toothpaste for sensitive teeth that is most likely just as good as the brand I currently use. After 6 months of use I noticed that my teeth became sensitive to cold again. Great as a toothpaste for people with no sensitivity issues or just a toothpaste for emergency days when you have no other choice.
Colgate is quite affordable I like it but this wasn't that great overall. The taste was ok but didn't last and I felt hardly any difference comparing to Sensodyne. Shame.
I have picked this up twice, and both times I have been unable to get it out of the tube! There is a little cap within the cap that has gotten wedged on so tight that I cannot get it off. I have to cut the end of the tube to get it out, which causes a big mess. Will not risk it again.
I have been using this tooth paste for over a year now and well my teeth are still very sensitive now could be caused by my own oral problems but I don't think so. Was very disappointed but kept buying it thinking it was going to work and I don't like the taste of the sensodyne tooth paste so prefer just to keep using this one. It still cleans my teeth and maybe someday it will help with the sensitivity
I have extremely sensitive teeth and gums and have had to use sensitive toothpaste for a very long time. Colgate finally came out with this brand so I had to try it. It is ok but Sensodyne still did a better job.
