I like that it is a whitening toothpaste but....

I like that it is a whitening toothpaste but I rather maybe have a better taste on my tongue. It totally did the job of making my mouth and teeth feeling clean!

Not as good as it used to be!

We've bought Colgate Total for years and used or be able to get it for 99 cents. Now on sale it's 2.99 and they must have changed the formulation. Tastes different. Doesn't promise 12 hour protection like it used to. Teeth feel grimy after eating.

I feel my teeth is thoroughly clean and refreshed. I don’t notice whitening of my teeth but no further discoloring of it. The gel texture doesn’t feel harsh and no sensitivity noted with brushing.

Great value

If you’re looking for a classic, mint toothpaste that does it all, this is the one. The thing that stands out about this more than anything else, is that it has the classic blue toothpaste with white stripes and a regular minty taste to go along with it. No aftertaste, no weird taste, just simple fresh minty taste.

In terms of whitening, I didn’t notice a massive difference, but having previously used the Smart White, which really whitened my teeth, my teeth were pretty much at max whiteness. This did maintain them. I have sensitive teeth and only had one twinge of sensitivity while using this, so I feel like it isn’t as good for severe sensitivity as my sensitive specific toothpaste, but I’d recommend it to normal folks.

The soft tube is easy to squeeze out and get every drop of toothpaste.

3 tubes for this price (7.97 at time of writing) is great value!

I would buy this product again, doesn't stain clothes or leave marks. The smell is also quite nice. I have allergies and this product works for me, no problems.

This is my default toothpaste. I've been using it since... well, I can't exactly remember, but after using samples of various other toothpastes over the past year, I can definitively say that I'd choose this product over them. Whereas other toothpastes have weird texture or flavors, e.g. some were VERY salty, while some where too gritty or left a disgusting film-like aftertaste, I find this toothpaste to have the most agreeable taste. Plus, it boasts whitening and 12hr protection against germs.

Now, I know that it's possible that the reason I like it is because I've been using it so often, so I'm used to it, and that the whitening used here is most likely physical whitening (which is physically scratching at your enamel to make it seem whiter). Oh, and let's not forget that it's not proven that it really whitens and it really protects for 12hr. Well, I've considered all that (and more), but why fix something that isn't broken? Other toothpastes may not be any better. This one tastes good and seems to do its job, so I'll stick with it.

I like the smell, taste and color. It's gentle on my gums and there's a clean feeling.

This is a great toothpaste - it foams, and cleans teeth well. It also leaves your breath, and mouth feeling fresh for quite awhile. But, I didn't notice any whitening effect at all. I would recommend it, but not for whitening.

This product is really good. It cleans my teeth really well, however i did not notice that it whitened my teeth.
