PSA: The smell of this stays in your hair even if you wash
If you`re trying to remove a dark color like black - red or dark brown I would suggest you head to Sally`s beauty and speak to someone in person who can see your hair and is able to help you or find the Wella t18 at Sally's that works well to turn your blonde hair silver or I also use an Argan Oil box dye - it`s a color lightener and it leaves your hair so soft.
As for this stuff I found it did an okay job over top of hair that was already bleached twice in a row. My hair was bleached overtop of brown so it went a little orange in some spots. This stuff worked well to tone those orange spots. It didn't take the orange out but it was close.
This stuff isn't your regular boxed dye. This stuff is extremely thin and doesn't thicken up. If your hair is thick or longer than your shoulders I`d suggest buying 2 or 3 boxes of this stuff to be able to get your whole head.
I was able to cover my whole head and within 10 minutes my blonde hair started to lighten. The orange in my hair was a bit dark before this dye so it took about 20 minutes for it to come out almost entirely.
Make sure you read the instructions before you start as this stuff is a bit different than your regular boxed dye. I`d only use this overtop of blonde though - besides that .. it doesn't have any chemicals in the dye and it doesn't smell terribly bad. As there is no ammonium in it. It almost smells like green apples before being mixed with the number 1 liquid.
Overall I was surprised how soft this stuff left my hair & the smell of it .. It worked well on blonde but don't use it over black or you`re going to need to do it 5 or 6 times I`d say.
Oops should of been a red flag.
I had bad hair dye experience and someone recommend using this product. The name alone,"Oops" should screamed at me no. It ended taking most of the dye from top out, it literally left a Ombre look in my hair..was a complete half inch at bottom of dark that stayed. Honestly I had bad to get my hair done, when it turned terrible. I couldn't afford to go professional again. I spotted that look for 3 more pays and called it "Ombre on Budget"😂
Nice !

Color oops hair color remover
Product works good to remove unwanted permanent hair dye. It smells really bad but does work! You need to make sure you rinse your hair for more than 20 mins when rinsing it out otherwise it may redarken, but it works good and is worth the price!
This product was good on the smokey pastels from L'Oreal. I made a mistake and put the product to soon, so I had very little product and it came out right away. The second time I used this was to make my hair lighter from the previous dye, it was not so bad and I did it a third time and I didn't like it as much. This product is a hit and miss in my opinion. Dark colors are hard to remove and it does not work on direct dyes. So I say it's an average product.
I have naturally dark (about 40% grey) hair, and wanted to go from a dark purple colour to a vibrant red.
I had been looking at this product as an option, but found it quite expensive, and was going to just colour over my current colour and take the consequenses.
Happened upon a 50% off sale, and picked this up - and I am really glad I did.
It is basically a bleaching product, but it worked really well to strip the colour from my greys, and lighten the old colour enough to take on a lighter shade.
The instructions were easy to follow.
However, the mixture was very liquidy, and if I had not had an applicator brush, it would have been impossible to not put the product on my new hair growth.
If you are NOT going to a lighter colour, or looking to strip colour from grey, honestly don't bother. If you have a good hairdresser, go to him/her instead for a colour change.
First time trying this product and I Loved it!!! My hair had been dyed a dark burgundy color for about 6 months when I decided I wanted to go back to a blonde . I was iffy on buying this because I had never tried it before but after reading some reviews and watching YouTube videos i decided what the heck and bought it. The price tho was more then I was hoping to spend on it @$19.95 but trust me it was worth every penny . Some people had said the smell was like rotten eggs but mine wasn't that bad at all. it did take a few washes to completely get the smell out and it seemed like the water brought out the smell more . My roots were also coming threw in a light brown and after about 25 mins of letting color oops sit I rinsed it not only was my hair not damaged one single bit , it was soft and basically the same color as my roots ! Amazing ! Totally took the dark burgundy right out . I'm looking to possibly do it again one my time to get some more dye out but I'm verrry happy with the results !!
Didn't work at all and it made me so sick! The smell was horrendous and stayed in my hair for days no matter what I did to get rid of it.
I am a trained hairstylist, and this is the only at-home colour remover I would recommend to my clients. I have had to use it myself a few times as I was training an apprentice on colouring skills, but didn't have enough of my own product in the salon on a weekend! It really works!
I have a history of dying my hair all sorts of colors and it came to a point where I couldn't remember what my natural hair color was! So I found this product at CVS and decided to give it a try. It was an average price of $13 and I think it was worth every penny. My hair is now back to blonde, mind you it has been dyed red, black, brown, etc. and this product was able to take all of the artificial color out without damaging my hair. The only downside was the product smelled like rotten eggs! But after washing my hair a few times in the shower it smelled normal again!
