This is one a pretty good blow dryer for basic home use. I would even use it for my At Home Hair Care Clients. It does have a 1600 watt power, and although Conair makes an 1875 watt, this one doesn't burn the hair or get too hot so that you can get it closer to the scalp. I never use the wattage as a big option for me when I decide to buy a blow dryer.

This one is super lightweight, has easy grasping "Cold Shot" Button, and easy flick dual air power and dual temperature buttons. The back is an easy twist off air filter so that you can keep the blow dryer clean of any hair, dust or debris that can build up and lead to the machine shorting out or causing heat overload and smelly burning hair.

For a lower end model, this is pretty darn good. I do recommend it. Also, in the box, I received a Diffuser for drying and styling Curly Hair, and a Difffuser for Straightening Hair.
