Fresh, clean feel all year round

This is my go to face wash. I have combination skin, which is dry in the winter and oily in the summer. Happy to say this wash is good for use year-round. My skin feels soft and clean with no dryness, residue or stickiness left behind

I have dry and sensitive skin and hate using a separate eye makeup remover. This is the best cleanser I have ever found. Not only is it organic and gentle, it also is safe to use on the eyes and removes my non waterproof mascara without tugging or irritation. I have clear skin and this cleaner is the reason. I am never without it and tell everyone about it. I have tried other foaming cleansers and they feel like they are leaving a residue on my skin. This cleanser rinses clean off. I also have the travel size so I can take it with me on vacation.

I love that this face wash is organic and natural. It can be extremely drying so make sure you have a good moisturizer on hand. It removes makeup with ease, even mascara, and is safe to use around the eyes. It has never caused my eyes to burn. A bottle usually lasts me anywhere from 3- 6 months. I tend to avoid it in the winter months when my skin is extremely dry, however in the summer it really helps control the oils.

I was lucky enough to try Canadian skin care brand Consonant’s Award-winning Organic Foaming Face Wash/All Natural Foaming Face Wash. I was excited to give it a try because I had heard so many positive things about it plus I love to show love for local brands.

When I got home, I prepared to wash my makeup off. When I first pumped some into my palm I thought there was no way something that airy and light was going to effectively remove my makeup but I went for it…

WOW! I can see what all of the fuss is about. This cleanser helps me achieve that fine balance between feeling nice and clean but not feeling parched. It’s labeled as Pure Unscented but still has a nice light smell that leaves no discernible scent behind once rinsed off.

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Water and Leuconostoc Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Niacinamide Calophyllum Tacamahaca, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Allantoin, Algae*, Camellia Sinensis*, Salix Alba*, Panax Ginseng Root Extract*, Zingiber Officinale*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract*, Vitis Vinifera*, Comfrey, Chamomilla Recutita*, Symphytum Officinale*, Cucumis Sativa*, Vaccinium Myrtillus*, Saccharum Officinarum, Acer Saccharum, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis, Citrus Medica Limonum, Citric Acid.

If you wear an especially heavy and/or greasy sunscreen or moisturizer you may want to repeat the process.

PROS:

light texture
light fresh smell
comes in travel and home sizes
removes makeup
leaves skin feeling clean
does not leave skin dry

CONS:

this isn’t really a negative but you may want to use a tad more products to remove extra stubborn or heavy products such as thick sunscreens or moisturizers

I have dry skin so even when a cleanser is supposed to be hydrating, I still feel tightness in my skin. With this cleanser, it was more around my eyes which meant that I needed to put moisturizer on right away. My face did feel VERY clean though and like I said, face and eye makeup were removed in one fell swoop. The price of this cleanser is not that bad for 125mL of product although if you’re using it twice a day you might find it disappearing quite quickly so I really just use it at the end of the day when there is “more to remove”. I love that this is such an effective cleanser with such healthy ingredients because I find that when products are too “natural”, efficacy can be lacking. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this face wash worked while simultaneously being so gentle and would totally recommend it for any skin type.

I love the extremely soft* and foamy feeling on my face. It feels beautiful.

I use it nightly. It does a great job taking off my makeup, and my face/neck feels super clean afterwards.
It doesn't leave my face dried out/tight at all either (Although I do pair this right away with a face cream).

I like like how this product has no scent- it just does it's job.
This product so easy to use and to handle - no mess.

this is one of my favorite face washes - it works fantastic for my sensitive skin and i feel fresh afterwards

I have super sensitive pale skin and this is my favourite facial cleanser. I discovered consonant products at an event last year, and I have never looked back. It's extremely gentle but very effective in washing away dirt, oil, and makeup. It's free artificial dyes, colours, perfumes and fragrances so definitely a plus for sensitive skin users. If you are concerned about your body product's and their ingredients, you can definitely trust this one.

I use it twice a day (morning and night) and I find it keeps most of my blemishes at bay (I still get a few).
