Staying power
This is a great setting powder that goes on smooth and helps keep makeup on all day without budging. It’s easy to apply with a round fluffy brush and leaves a natural matte finish. I’d buy it again since it keeps my makeup in place even in the hot summer months and helps control oil. You just swirl it around your face with a big fluffy brush and you are set for the day with no worries because your makeup is set for the rest of the day. It’s also lightweight and feels like your wearing nothing
Love the packaging
I love the little trap door packaging that is under the lid. It really seals in the powder so you don't get an explosion when you unscrew the lid. LOVE the finish and how little you need.
Cover FX: Hit or Miss?
I am a die hard Laura Mercier fan when it comes to setting powders! Auntie Laura has the fine milled powder down to perfection....but the price...oh gawsh. I wanted to LOVE cover FX because the price point is much better. ANNNNDDDD I lov it (without the "e") It does the job...but I do like Lauras quality better. All in all its a HIT! and I'll continue to buy it until im rich lol.
Its a nice light powder
This powder is great for people who like to set their face without having it feel to heavy. It doesn't cake on your face and does a good job at getting rid of any oil on your face. My only issue with this powder is that it is pretty light in colour and because I have a tan complexion it makes my face kind of white, i wish they sold it in a yellow undertone because they only currently have two shades, and the light shade is too light for me and the darker shade is too dark, its almost like a shade I could use to contour. So if they came out with a medium shade I would recommend this to everyone. Other then that, the powder is really fine and I have heard it is great for baking although I personally haven't used it for that purpose. If you are looking for a new setting powder I would recommend this, just make sure it matches your skin tone first!
This powder keeps my oily skin at bay, covers imperfections and doesn't make me break out. Love the ingredients and I love that it is Canadian. I use this powder when I want a matte finish.
I usually prefer the illuminating powder because it brightens my skin tone when it's looking muddy. But with the oily, greasy battle I fight every summer I switched to this one. It kept my makeup set for most of the day unless I got super physical and sweaty. I love these powders because they don't clog my pores like crazy as most do.
For awhile loose powder wasn't easily available and this was suggested to me because I find pressed powder doesn't go on as lightly as I'd like. I see now that this is discontinued so fortunately I've found an ELF product I like just as well for a 1/3 of the price. As a loose powder this worked find, but at over $30 a jar I found it expensive, although it did last. I didn't notice anything particularly special about the product, but I wasn't specifically looking to reduce shine or the like.
Like it. Softens the look of makeup, kind of light diffusing for a natural photofinish. Great in the winter. Little shimmery
I don't think I've found a setting powder that helps my make up stay matte for a long time. It's nice when first applied and the first couple hours. However, like always, my face becomes shiney. I would get it again if it came in a set with other items, however, not on it's own.
