Good option for a heavy coverage foundation
While I usually rely on a light to med. coverage foundation, I have acne and scaring on my face. I was being interviewed for tv and was nervous about how my skin would look on camera and went looking for a full coverage foundation. The staff at Sephora recommended this as the best quality full coverage before getting into products like Dermacol. I found it rather pricey but decided to give it a go after testing the level of coverage in store.
Granted I am not very adept at make-up application but on first try found it caked in certain areas and caused dry areas to flake and peel within a couple hours of wear. The next attempt I exfoliated and moisturized in preparation which helped but just found with my combination skin, it worked well in my t-zone where I am naturally oily, but caked and flaked on my cheeks and jawline which are dry, yet where I needed the most colour coverage.
All in all it did the job for what I needed and would wear it again if i needed full coverage for a 2-3 hour window but wouldn't plan it lasting an 8 hour day and still holding up. I feel like I could get away with heavy application of a decent med. coverage foundation and avoid all the challenges of this product.
I used to use this almost daily a couple years back. I noticed however that this cream foundation always applied very thickly in an apparent manner. Streaks were apparent on my face, making the foundation seem very uneven.
A pro is that I didn't break out, and the foundation did cover my imperfections.
In general however, I felt it looked too makeup-y for me to use again .Possibly during the winter will I consider using this again.
