79% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Blends well into the skin and doesn't leave your face feeling heavy. I find I need a lot of extra moisturizer before using this product as it tends to leave my face dry. Will not likely buy it again.
I tried this foundation because of the commercial, as it made the product look incredible. Unfortunately, the foundation colours aren't the same as the other CoverGirl foundation products that I had used in the past - so I ended up having a slightly orange face! Ew. I also found that the foundation made my skin look like chalk..
Let me start by clarifying that I am the ultimate Cover Girl chick.. It is the ONLY company I have ever turned to for my "foundation" needs since I was a teen. So when my local pharmacy was out of stock with my usual CG Foundation, I figured I'd give this one a go.
This line of foundation has the same names for colours as does the True Blend line, so I figured finding the correct tone shouldn't be impossible. Well, I guess I was wrong. I bought my "Classic Ivory" for $3.00 more than my normal foundation and home I went.
When I first applied it, it felt more like a cream, kind of a nice texture until I couldn't get it to blend in (YIKES!) Have you ever put a lotion on your face that just wont seem to blend in? Well that's how I felt with this. Perhaps I took too much? So I tried using less product the next time - still same problem.
The colour was a far cry from the "Classic Ivory" I normally use. My face looked chalky white, definitely not a very cute look for me.
I personally wouldn't buy this product again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I am surprised and sad to say it because I truly do love Cover Girl products - I'm just not digging this one.
I should have remembered this - but CG always has a pinky hue on me. They don't do neutrals well. I love that this makeup comes in a hygienic pump, that it smells wonderful, and has a decent SPF (10 - I'd rather have 15). It feels smooth and satiny on my skin, but I just don't like how it wears. It seemed to create breakouts. I'm just barely into their age range on this one... so maybe my skin is still too immature for this type of formulation.
These worked well for a few days but made my gums red and sore : (
I submitted for the wrong product. I love this foundation, it goes on smooth and has a great price! I recommend it!
In my experience I would give this product No stars, just because I have dry, sensitive skin and this make-up showed EVERY single flaw on my face instead of covering my flaws. It didn't conceal my dark circles under my eyes either. The reason I gave this product 3 stars for quality is because I have a girlfriend who wears this and she doesn't swear buy it but she is reasonably satisfied with this product. But she has a PERECT skin complection with no flaws. so in short I HATED this product but if you have perfect skin and prefer to use anti-aging makeup than this product is for you.
First off i want to say That I DO like this foundation somewhat, however it does have some downfalls. THIS IS NOT for people with Oily skin.. It does leave a oily feel to the skin when applied and it doesnt have the best coverage..I have to add Cover Girl Pressed Powder Foundation to get the Matte look so my face doesnt shine. YOu dont have to use a lot of product, but I dont see any anti aging capabilities of this product. Ive been using it for two months now and see no noticable differences..also even at the lightest shade (im fairly fair skinned)..it still seems a bit dark. Honestly i wish Loreal would re-release the Mattique line it was the Best Foundation out there!
