Similar to other pressed powders

The shade I tried was 510 Classic Ivory for oily skin.

It’s a very nice compact that comes with its own sponge. I found it very awkward to open, but that could be just me. The powder shade looked nice, but I did notice quite a strong odor, so this might be an issue for those with sensitive skin.

Although I’m fair skinned, I actually found this shade just a little bit too light. Would I try this again, maybe but in a different shade.

Nice everyday powder

I am really impressed my this powder. I use it most when my skin is clear and I don't have much irritation or blemishes so it gives my skin a nice clean and matte finish without making it look or feel cakey. It's not a full coverage powder which I appreciate because it allows my skin to breathe. It sinks into my skin nicely and the light colour matches very well to my skin. I just use a big makeup brush and apply it all over especially on my t-zone and it keeps my shine free all day.

Definitely love the feel of this product. It goes on nice and light and has a nice natural tone to it. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely purchase this product again.

Covergirl clean matte pressed powder

Covergirl offers some great pressed powders for every skin type and of different finishes. The clean matte pressed powder is a great setting powder to use after a liquid foundation or a mousse foundation. It makes your makeup last all day and makes your face look completely matte.

This is the first pressed powder I ever used. Cover girl was the go to brand when I was starting high school, everyone had these compacts in their makeup bags. I have used it off and on as an adult, its not my go to brand but I will pick one up when they are one sale just to have on hand.
Out of all their face powders, the matte is the best for me, it helps soak up the excess oil my face produces during the day. I do find that it can dry out my face a bit, so if I am going to wear it, I really moisturize my face before I apply it.
The only down fall is that I find it doesn't last all day, I often have to reapply it after a couple of hours. The product comes out of the compact really well, you have to be extra careful not to apply too much, because it wont' make it last any longer, it only ends up looking 'over powdered' and dried out.
I would recommend cover girl to girls that are just trying out make up for the first time, all their products are easy to use, highly blendable and often tend to look more natural than others.

Really easy to fit into the makeup bag. A great addition if you're looking for a quick fix. Wouldn't say it is life proof though rubs off quite easily.
