Been using this for YEARS!

I absolutely love this powder. It keeps my oily skin nice and matte and flawless looking. Excellent to wear over top of foundation for that extra look of perfection.

Comes in a Good variety of color tones too!

I’ve been using this forever!

This pressed powder controls oil very effectively. It is light enough that it doesn’t look caked, but does provide some coverage as well. I rely on it to keep me from being shiny.

Been using for years

I really like this on top of a bb cream or just by it’s self. Provides enough coverage, but tends to emphasize little face hairs on my chin and forehead. Totally recommend by itself when just out running errands.

Affordable

I absolutely love this powder, the shade matches perfectly and is blendable, and it does mattify and help with oil control throughout the day.Really reasonable price for a great amount of product. Protects against shine and gives you a clean matte finish. Light enough to wear over liquid foundation or build by itself for more coverage. Doesn't settle into lines on my face which is always a plus. I have been using this powder for years and their formula is reliable and hasn't changed at all

Does what it says, with a few tweaks

I used to end up with an oily forehead by noon after powdering my face with this, but there are a few tricks from makeup artist Wayne Goss that I use to make this powder truly give and maintain a matte effect on my combination skin with large pores and deep acne scars in some areas.

First, I pat and press it into my moisturized face with the puff, instead of rubbing, before foundation.

Second, I crush and mix some of it in with my full-coverage foundation before applying it (a great way to avoid wasting broken pressed powders).

Third, I finish with a final light dusting of powder over my face , but you might not need to. (Ideally, you would pat more loose powder on and brush off the excess, but this isn't easy with pressed powder.)

With these techniques, my skin still glows through, believe it or not with all that powder, but has stayed matte for 24 hours or more with just a bit of forehead oiliness after all that time.

The only con is I wish it gave a bit fuller coverage, like a Cover FX powder would, but I don't think it was formulated with that intent, so it's still quite good.

Best Matte Powder On The Shelves

I have searched for years for a matte powder to keep my grease in check! THIS IS IT! It doesn't cake up as the day goes by. It sits nicely on wrinkles and fine lines. The puff that comes with the product works well but I feel its best applied with a brush.

This pressed powder works really well in setting your foundation in place and it does come with a puff to apply it. It is very light and though it does come in a variety of shades, they don't tint much and are mainly translucent. This powder also really stays in place, as I have found some other powders would rub off onto my scarf etc when my face would touch it. The powder comes at a great price and can be found at most drugstores.

This powder is one of my go to's!
I like the way that it leaves my skin looking. It leaves a very matte finish, but does so in a natural way. It is not too cakey, and the colour is true to my skintone.
The price is right, and if used daily, this powder will last you a couple of months!

Great foundation for an 8-hour workday!

Covergirl Clean Matte Pressed Powder is a great powder! It goes on easy and doesn't make you feel like you have makeup caked on your face. However, I would suggest taking it with you for reapplication if you are going to be out more than 8 hours or so!

This pressed powder keeps my face fresh and matte for a very long time and glides on so smoothly to my skin. It is lightweight and completely matte, which I love. The only downside for me is that the darkest shade is a little to dark for me, and a shade lighter is too light, but this isn't too much of a problem for me. It is still a great pressed powder.
