For me, this mascara is mediocre. I don't love it, don't hate it, if it's around i'll use it. But i won't specifically make a trip to go get it. It does what a lot of mascara does, fill in my lashes, lengthens a little. I noticed that this mascara get dried and clumpy quite fast. Remember when you using your mascara, instead of pumping it in and out to get the product, twirl it inside the tube to prevent air from getting inside. Overall, this products okay. If it's on sale, not a bad idea to just grab it!
I bought LashBlast when it came out on the market and wasn't that happy. I found the brush bigger than needed and I thought it didn't make my lashes as thick as other brands. It was nice that it washed off easily and didn't leave dark rings under my eyes. The price point is good, but others in the same price range are more effective. Overall, I'd recommend it if you wanted just a basic mascara at a good price.
I was skeptical with this one, but heard great reviews on it and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, it's my favorite mascara now! It lengthens and curls my lashes and keeps them in good shape all day. My only problem is, it's very difficult to clean off.
I have pin-straight eyelashes that have never ever been bested by any mascara brand. Nothing has ever convinced my lashes to perk up and achieve that lovely, natural curl you see in the magazines until I tried the Lash Blast Mascara. I pinch my lashes with a tweezerman lash curler and brush on two coats of the Lash Blast in brown, wiggling it to allow the brush to grab every lash (unfortunately the product was so popular at my local drug store, black was all sold out so I had to settle for brown, but the difference wasn't really noticeable, phew). With every stroke, my lashes were boosted and thickened, and the formula dried in a decent amount of time so that I can quickly blink without getting mascara all over my lower lid. For some magical reason, I've never been able to smudge my upper lid with this mascara, so perhaps the shape and thickness of the wand and brush helps to prevent mistakes. My waterproof version helped to prevent smudges, which is incredibly important for me because I have Asian eyes that smears smudgeable makeup from the top lid onto the bottom lid whenever I close my eyes.
This mascara wasn't the cheapest on the shelf (very few mascaras can compete with Maybelline's $6 CAD), but it was very attractive when compared to other mass market brands like Rimmel and L'Oreal. I think I remember purchasing mine for around $10 CAD, and I've been able to keep using it for the last month or so and it doesn't look like it's about to run out any time soon! (Yay!)
Personally, I was never attracted to the fatness of the tube or the bright day-glo orange color. In fact, I felt it looked kind of gaudy and reminded me of bad fashion trends from the 70's and 80's. However, whatever's inside the packaging is a wonderful product and I'm glad I gave this a chance, because I've finally found a favorite mascara.
After reading all the rave reviews here I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I am a total sucker for mascara, and even if I am happy with my current brand, I am always temped to try new ones. I am currently VERY satisfied with the volumizing results of Maybelline The Colossal but decided to give last blast a try. I was wary of the innovative brush (Define-a-Lash has a similar looking brush with the weird rubbery looking bristles, and I HATED that mascara) but this one does the trick!
After using it for a few weeks, I can safely say I LOVE THIS MASCARA!!! I am having a difficult time deciding between this one and Colossal, but I think they can settle for being tied for first in my books. Last Blast makes your lashes so full and voluminous, while also resisting clumping (the cool brush makes sure of that!) It takes 2 coats for me to get the dramatic effect I am going for, but it works like a charm every time. I have no complains about its performance! The only small qualm I have with it is that it makes my lashes feel somewhat hard after. I find it very difficult to find mascara that leaves lashes feeling soft (although they all claim to) so I will not hold this against Lash Blast. I cannot say If Colossal does a better or worse job of this. My last problem with Lash Blast is that I have had some small flaking by the end of the day, but I think this is a general trend with volumizing mascaras, so again, I will not hold it against Lash Blast.
Overall I am very happy with this mascara and will certainly repurchase. (Next time I might even try Lash Luxe – its Lash Blast with a hint of shimmer apparently … can’t wait to try it!)
I had a coupon so I was immediately sucked in as I continued my quest for the perfect mascara. This one is definitely a contender. The brush is great. The brush separates my lashes putting the perfect amount of mascara on them. Although I look nothing like the models in the commercials, I am pretty pleased with the results. I would definitely buy it again.
Since I'm sort of new to makeup (I'm young!), my friends all recommended this mascara, so I went out and bought it. The first time I tried it, I LOVED it and I still do, it's my school mascara, though I use different mascaras now and then, but this is the one I use the most! No clumps, the brush is big, but you get use to it. I love it, lengthens and volumizes, not dramatically, but it's still great!
This is a great mascara! It builds volume and separates lashes without clumping. I love the fact that it really coats the lashes and adds lots of volume without clumping and making my lashes look 'spidery'. The large brush takes some getting used to but I didn't have a problem using it. This is a great mascara. It is as good as some higher end mascaras that i've used - for a fraction of the cost!
When trying Lashblast, I wasn't quite sure about the "new brush technology", however I was pleasantly surprised! The brush worked great, and the results were fair for the price, which is not too expensive. The claim on the commercial about is absolutely correct when they say that the wand grabs every lash. I would definitely recommend this product!
