Really covered my under eye circles/bags well as well as any other blemishes I may of had. Worth the price
Product wasn't terrible, the smell was tolerable and spread on easy. I didn't notice good results compared to other similar products tried. Finer lines seemed to be a littl less noticeable but the deeper lines saw no difference.
Ok, so I'm a total fan of the simply ageless foundation and cream blush which is why I was gung-ho about trying out the concealer and corrector...everything else was rocking my socks off so this should too, right?
WRONG!
So, to be fair, it did have a creamy consistency, a pigmented yellow color and applied fairly thickly as a concealer should so it might work on someone who has smoother undereyes and different skin tone than me.
I tried applying with finger tips thinking the warmth would help make it more blendable - nope.
I tried applying with a concealer brush thinking it would sheer it out a bit more - nope.
I tried applying with a sponge applicator thinking that dab/roll would be more effective - nope.
I'm a pale face but nothing unearthly...I don't look like the walking dead or like I belong on Twilight. But I do have "maturing" skin with undereye ravines...err lines. And some bags. But shhh. So, here I thought - Ellen can't lead me wrong! The foundation is the cat's meow and the blush makes me look almost youthful if you're near sighted...but this dark circle color corrector undoes all that artistry! It gathers in my ravines, makes my undereyes look heavy and I look JAUNDICED! and yes, ladies, I do know to apply a concealer over the corrector...but still, I look sick! And it completely undoes all my efforts to hide my baggage...so definitely not an item I would recommend for those ladies with ravines and backpacks under their eyes like me.
Thumbs down! :(
I was excited to try this when I heard that yellow combats the bluish tone in under-eye circles, but I can't say I was too impressed. I really don't think I looked any different when using this corrector and concealer on top as opposed to just concealer. Maybe if you really need a lot of under-eye coverage you might see a bigger improvement but I don't think the extra step was really worth it for me.
