The brush in mine may have been defective - the bristles were so short that they were barely there, and as a result, too much mascara got on my lashes when I tried to use it. Really disappointed that this didn't work for me, as I've heard that it does amazing things for small/skimpy lashes. I might re-buy another one to see if the brush is the same. The formula seems OK, just need a good brush to go along with it!
It's all in the twirl!!! Although I liked this more after a few times of applying it. I Re read the instructions and applied as directed and my lashes looked a lot fuller than my first application. The only thing I found is you do need to watch how many times you apply it as it does get clumpy. I loved that after eight hours of wearing it I didn't get any smudging or racoon eyes which is always something I worry about.
I am disappointed in this mascara. I find the brush to flimsy and too much product builds up on the brush making your lashes stuck to get her and clumpy
I don't like this mascara, it's make my lashes stick togheter, so yes they look ticker but nothing voluminous, the formula I find to wet and I have a hard time placing my lashes like I want them to be.
I don't recommend this mascara, there are a lot better than this.
Would not use this again ever! Was extremely goopy and messy, they have WAY better mascaras from Covergirl that I stand behind. This one is ineffective and didn't help my lashes at all.
I am very fussy with my mascara because I use it ALOT. Just like a lot of my make up, I purchased this one because it was on sale. It looks very thick and looks as if it will support a large brush, but when you pull out the brush it was a huge disappointment. It was just a little tiny thing! While yes, it serves its purpose as decent mascara, I find I have to put a lot of it on. I would purchase this product again, only if its on sale
Upon trying this product out for the last few weeks I am now ready to provide my thoughts.
The packaging - it was bright, eye catching, informative and colourful. A good way to attract someone's attention, especially since it's a new product.
The cost - It's pretty average, though I have not bought a new one.
Applicator - the bristles are way smaller I found than what the image showed on the package. I was a little disappointed as I'm used to longer bristles and with smaller ones it can make it tough to get used to without goofing up your makup. I also found the wand a bit bigger to hold on to, as some of my other ones are smaller in size, and the bigger, more bulky one took a bit getting used to. Twirling to get the effects is also a bit hard to manage, and if you're like me who's not the best at applying makup simply because you don't wear it as often as other people, then these tips will just throw you off and confuse you. Makeup applying should be simple, not a challenge!
The Product itself - it's wet, heavy, and a little definately goes a long way. If you put too much on accident, you end up with clumps and lashes that look terrible. When you figure out just how much to put on the applicator, the product actually is great.
My lashes looked great once I mastered some of the things I didn't like, though the twirling thing is something I still haven't gotten the hang of, though I find I can make my lashes look great without it. I will keep using this product till it's gone, and then make a decision from there regarding if I buy it again or not.
I will recommend this to people to try because everyone has their own opinions and while my experience wasn't 100% great, once I did manage to figure out my own ways of doing things, my lashes really did look nice. Perhaps someone else will have the same thoughts, or even something different.
I had such high expectations for this product considering I use Covergirl lashblast mascara daily. I was a little hesitant initially though about the type of brush that is made with this product. Despite this I kept an open mind to the experience. While it did coat my lashes, I didn't see any difference in volume or length in comparison to other brands mascaras. I had to struggle with the amount of mascara that would come out on the applicator brush. As the brush has no give, it's nearly impossible to scrape it off to remove excess mascara. The brush with its tiny bristles drives me nuts. That's why the product originally clumped my lashes. The bristles are so tiny that so much mascara gets stuck at the base instead of being nicely spread out throughout the bristles. I would still 100% recommend Covergirl products and will continue to buy their products but this is not one that I will consider purchasing.
I had really high hopes for this mascara, but unfortunately was let down. This is super thick and goopy. It always clumps up and makes my lashes stick together, then gets all over my eyelids. It's ok if I wipe most of the product off, but then it really doesn't do much.
