This is a pretty cool blank journal/diary that could also easily be used as a prop book or a book of shadows due to the occult looking theme. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of with this book (and this is my personal taste) is that the interior of the book doesn't have a cover and the back end of the leather and the embellishments can be seen. I'd prefer that it be covered, but if you like a more rustic look then this might not bother you.

Apart from looking stylish, the little metal clasp moves smoothly and isn't difficult or finicky like some I've seen in the past.

Paper wise, the paper in this is awesome! It takes pencil, regular pen and even sharpie very well without bleeding through the page or smudging. The paper is all attached well, but also easy to remove and switch out due to the binding system used. It is leather, with a light leather smell that isn't overpowering, but due to this isn't suitable for vegans or vegetarians, so be aware that it's real leather before purchasing.
