I've tried other whitening products before, and I have to say that I liked them better than this one. This product's two hour time frame turned me off immediately. Two hours just seems like a very long time to be so uncomfortable, when other products offer only a half an hour wait time. Further, the sensitivity that I experienced was far worse than the sensitivity I had with any other whitening product. Another thing to note was that after the first few days, I had trouble getting the bottom strips to stick to my teeth, making the whole process rather uncomfortable for the last few days. In good news, my teeth did end up very white, which is obviously the goal of the product, so it did what it says it would do!

There was some sensitivity after the first application, and I felt sharp piercing sensitivity in one tooth a couple of times that thankfully didn't last long. They stayed on fine, and there wasn't a terrible taste. One of the things to keep in mind about this is scheduling when to apply them, since it's for 2 hrs. (ex. I didn't eat or drink while they were on.) I purposely didn't use whitening toothpaste while using them. My teeth do look a bit whiter, but I took before & after photos, & there isn't as much of a difference as I expected really. I tried regular Crest whitestrips 5 years ago with the same results I'd say.

The strips are very easy to use and after one application, I noticed my teeth were whiter than before.

However, after the first application, my teeth were so sensitive that it hurt to eat and brush my teeth for a few days. I have never had sensitive teeth before so this was a surprise. I had to stop after the first application until my teeth felt better. The other downside is the length of time for the application. Two hours is too long.

All in all, though, if your teeth are not sensitive, the strips are very good. There is a noticeable difference in whiteness and the price is good (especially with a P&G;coupon).

Maybe my teeth are just really uber-sensitive, but after trying these for the first time and wearing the strips for the recommended two hours, my teeth KILLED the rest of the day. I had to take Tylenol and I couldn't chew any food, they hurt so much. Luckily the pain had faded by the next morning but I would never, ever use these again, for fear of that horrible toothache again. I guess I'm destined to have coffee-stained teeth. Rated them four stars for effectiveness only because my teeth DID look whiter after I took the strips off, plus they stayed on my teeth very well.

I was excited to try these out because the last time I used white strips was about 5 years ago and I found the product messy and annoying to use.

These, however, were easy to apply and thanks to the advanced seal. stayed on really well without any funky taste in my mouth.

HOWEVER, I only made it one day with these things, as after using them for only 30 minutes on day 1, I woke up to excrutiating pain (worse than when I had braces) and I couldn't stand it. It lasted a full 8 hours -- I couldn't make myself put them on again.

That being said, I read through the instructions, and because these were the highest level of intensity, they do warn you they will most likely cause sensitivity.

I wish I could have handled these for longer, but I am a bit of baby when it comes to teeth pain (I can't stand any kind of teeth related pain)...

For tough chicks who don't experience sensitivity, these may be for you. I didn't think I had sensitive teeth, but maybe I do. But if you are concerned about having painful teeth and gums, then please don't use. its not worth it for a brighter smile.

i do like the whitestrips! but it was hard to put on my teeth as my teeth are not perfectly straight. but i do like the results i got. even tho it took awhile to put on my teeth the right way. i would recommed it. if you were down with a lil extra work to put on.

I was excited to receive the Crest 3D White Whitestrips Intensive Professional Effects for review. This kit contained 7 strips for top and bottom front teeth. I read the instructions and nowhere did it mention if this product was meant to use for 7 consecutive days (back to back). Since this is the intensive version, you have to keep the strips on your teeth for 2 hours. That proved to be quite long for me. Your mouth automatically produces extra saliva and it was hard not to have my tongue touch the strips or have saliva on them. I tried as best I could to keep my tongue in the back of my mouth and tried not to swallow too much. The first day was ok. During the time the strips were on my teeth, there was just barely a hint of taste. It felt comfortable enough. I started noticing a slight tingling sensation about 1 hour into the process. After removing the strips I rinsed my mouth. It should probably state somewhere in the instructions not to try to eat or drink anything hot or cold after a treatment. I found I had an issue with drinking water. Second day, I repeated the process and got the same tingling sensation about 1 hour into it but nothing too too unpleasant. After the second treatment, my teeth remained sensitive for hours. I could not drink water or coffee without it being very uncomfortable. I decided it best to discontinue using the product for a 3rd day in a row. I understand it states on the box that sensitivity is normal and temporary due to the intensive nature of the treatment, however it proved to be too uncomfortable to continue using. I am sure if I would had continued a 3rd treatment, I would have been in serious pain afterwards. I would not buy this product for myself due to teeth sensitivity nor would recommend it for anything who has sensitivity issues.
