I used the Premium Whitestrips and have mixed feelings about them! On the upside they do the job...your teeth look fabulously white afterwards and you only have to use them for a week (if you do them twice a day). On the downside the Premium strips are covered with whitening jelly that slips everywhere, tastes like crap and produces hot little "strands" of spit and jelly mixed together...nice. I tried wearing one set for half an hour then another set for half an hour back to back and wow did I ever regret that! I have never felt such pain in my teeth! Super sensitive. So I'm back to using them once a day which works fairly well!
Just an extra tip...if you're willing to spend the money get the "Advanced Seal" whitestrips...no messy jelly or gross flavour, just an easy way to whiten your teeth!
I did not like these one bit.
They had a horrible taste and slipped all over the place. No matter what way I tried to use them I could not manage to keep them where they were supposed to be.
They did however, manage to whiten my teeth a bit, so I guess they did work....
I have used Crest White Strips Premium. I find it makes your teeth very white and if you leave them on to long or use more strips then directed, it almost leaves your teeth way to white. I also noticed that my teeth got extremely sensetive. I realize the Premium ones have more bleach than the originals but then you don't have to use them as long and you get quicker results if you're in need of a quick whitening! The bottom strip seemed to always slip around. Try not to let them touch your gums to much. I usually put them on before bed or sometime throughout the day when I won't be talking much because that also tends to make them slip around as well. The biggest downfalls are that they are a bit expensive and really hurt my teeth for a few days. But considering you can do it in the comfort of your own home for less than a quarter or the professional price, it's completely worth it.
I bought the regular strength version ("original"?), hoping that the lower amount of bleaching product (or so I assume) would not bother my teeth the same way other users have commented. It's also a little less expensive :-)
The product did a good job. I am about halfway through the package and have a noticeably whiter smile. However, I can only stand to continue the regimen at half the pace - instead of using them twice daily, I only do it once.
My teeth have always been sensitive, so I guess I should have seen this coming. If you don't have sensitive teeth, this product will probably work well for you. Just try to adjust the strip so it touches as little of your gum as possible.
I'm so glad to read that other's experienced pain and sensitivity when using this product. I quit using the regimen b/c of the discomfort. For that reason alone, I do not recommend Crest Whitestrips and will never use them again.
I liked these little dudes. On the up side, I saw a noticeable difference in about three days, and looked totally fabulous by the end. On the down side, they did make my teeth feel slightly sensitive even for a week or so after I had finished all the strips. The WORST part was that - while doing the bottom strips - I would get a shooting pain through my jaw that would make me grab my face and want to scream. The second time around, I found that the pain was bearable, and I was able to finish the strips. I've used them twice, due to being a regular coffee drinker, but I supplement with a whitening toothpaste (think Colgate Total or Crest Pro-Health) and I can keep the whitestrips down to every year or so. For me, the price is worth it, and I've gotten used to just having a super sensitive mouth.
I find that Crest Whitestrips Premium work well. There was a noticeable difference that others noticed as well. Dislikes: The gel gets on your fingers as you adhere the strips to your teeth & if you do both applications back-to-back I find that my teeth can ache a bit or become a bit sensitive if that makes any sense. Likes: the product works well & is a lot less expensive that getting your teeth whitened at a dentist. I am told that products like these are not as good as getting whitening done at a dentist but if you are a non-smoker and non-daily coffee drinker, it works just fine to brighten up your smile.
I wouldn't buy these full price, personally. If you have a Shoppers Optimum card and you're always raking in the points, why not wait until you get money back to buy these? If you really can't wait, then buy them I guess, but be sure to shop around for the cheapest place. It's always changing.
The taste is a little strange, but other than that, I felt that they worked really well. I noticed that my teeth did change to a much nicer white. My sister and I both cheated in a way.
You are supposed to use four strips (one on each set of teeth, so two at a time) twice a day. The instructions never said how far apart the time in between had to be, so instead of doing one in the morning and one at night, we would just do one set right after the other. It takes an hour out of your day, all at once, and you don't have to worry about forgetting them. If you are, or ever have been on the pill, you know what it's like to forget- you end up kicking yourself. We have enough things to remember to do in the day, so this just makes life a little easier.
I would probably use this product again, I just hope by the time I decide to use it that the price will have dropped.
