Great Exfoliator
This exfoliator is very gentle and does a very good job at removing dead skin cells! I use this about once or twice a week. I bought this because I was really impressed with how popular this product was.
Strips You of Oil, Like You Were Dirty Dishes
I purchased this online through Amazon.ca and years ago I remember trying a product at a trade show and kind of effect it had.
What this product does, is nothing like any other. When you rub it into your skin, it picks up all the oil and dead skin on the surface of your face. With that being said, it has a strong smell of alcohol. So since this product contains alcohol, yes it will also be drying. But if you happen to over produce oils, this product is so fun to use in a satisfying way.
When you apply it to your face the product gums up, so you end up with little lumps and beads of your dried up dead skin and facial oil. It's a great product to use to cleanse your face before the application of other product, such as serums and facial creams.
Some people think that this product is a gimmick, but it gums up more with more oil and less with less oil, so it does in fact strip your skin of oils and dirt and whatever is on your face, I mean it has alcohol in it.
I tried getting the product to gum up on a non oily surface and it doesn't, so yes, it works at least in my little non scientific experiment. Honestly, try it out for yourself. It leaves my face squeaky clean.
This is a Japanese product, so if you buy it in Canada you'll need it to be shipped with a Canadian label if you want to know the ingredients. I removed mine after I read it.
Now that I'm on Accutane, my skin is more sensitive and I need a more gentle exfoliator. This one is perfect! Its water based and super gentle. The key is to use this on COMPLETELY dry skin (face and hands) and watch as little white balls of dead skin form. Then wash it off to reveal smoother skin! I love that it has a pump too! I just wish it was easier to buy in Canada. I ordered mine online
I have REALLY sensitive skin so I'm really happy to have my hands on this product! Do not underestimate this product just because it's water-based! On their website, it says "Cure has created a record-breaking, 1 bottle sold every 20 seconds." Because it's water-based, you let it rest on your skin for around 3 seconds and then gently massage. When I first tried this exfoliator, I can tell that my skin looks as if it glows and next morning, my skin feels incredibly soft!
