We love the Dq cakes! In fact, my older son is not a vake person and we get him a DQ cake every year for his birthday. What would take my review over the top would be if we could choose between a caramel filling or a fudge
I purchased a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for my birthday last year and it was a fantastic decision! The year before I had purchased a cake using a groupon deal at Baskin Robbins, and while it was okay, it definitely didn't stand a chance against DQ's version. I find all of their desserts to be a bit on the pricey side, but you can occasionally get a coupon worth a few dollars off if you sign up to their newsletter or go to their website. They also decorate the cake with your choice of writing, and can add cartoon characters and objects to the cake for an extra fee. My personal recommendation is peanut butter cup ice cream and vanilla cake!
It always makes my family members and friends feel special whenever I stop by with a DQ cake. It's great for birthdays too of course! My favourite is the strawberry cheesecake blizzard cake but I also love their traditional vanilla cake with the fudge/cookie bit middle!
Got it using the $5 off coupon yesterday and bring it as dessert for potluck!
Everybody loves it. Not too sweet for the kids yet tasted awesome!
What can be better than putting icecream as a cake?
We all love icecream in our family, so Dairy Queen is where we go. Doesn't matter the flavour, we love the cake! Just wish the prices would be a little more reasonable.
We no longer get to enjoy these because they've become ridiculously expensive! Otherwise these were our go to for all the birthdays in our family. Be nice for them to come down in price, but we all know that'll never happen.
Dairy Queen Ice cream cakes were and still are a staple at all birthday parties Ive been to or had. The cake is delicious, especially the fudge section and the icing! The only annoyance is our local DQ in Port Alberni, BC is owned by terrible people who treat the staff like garbage, so the quality has gone down hill.
My husband loves DQ cakes. I have gotten ready decorated cakes that already fit his profile. If I do get him it is only for his birthday and will be his present. For my household, the cakes are much too expensive.
Ice cream cakes are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. I honestly, could sit and eat a whole cake! There is something about the combination of icing and ice cream. I also have only ever tried ice cream cake from dairy queen.
There is nothing better than the fudge crunch in the middle of these cakes! Growing up we lived far away from a DQ so this was always a very special treat. We love these cakes so much that my sister even had one as her wedding cake.
