I was fortunate to be selected by the Product Review Club to test a DQ Cake ... yay!

I ordered a traditional DQ Cake. In my city, there are 3 DQ locations. I looked at each one on-line at noticed quite a difference in the selection of cakes available at each location; however, this was more noticeable with the Blizzard cakes. We did not have a particular occasion to celebrate with this cake.

The in-store pick-up was extremely quick and easy.

The cake itself was unremarkable. The coloring differed from the image online in that it was much more subtle online. In real-life the icing was very bright -- much too much food coloring! I think the cost is just too much for, essentially, ice cream. I doubt that I would order another DQ Cake or recommend it to a friend. If I were to ever get another DQ Cake, it would be a Blizzard variety.

What a surprise to get a Dairy Queen gift card in the mail! Once I figured out what it was for, I went online and browsed the selection. Was hoping to order a snickers blizzard cake but it was not availbale, so went for the Turtle Brownie one. No special occasion, we just called it our 'unbirthday' cake! Was a bit disappointed that we had to wait 3 days for the order to be ready but it was there when we wanted and payment was fast and easy. Price was a bit higher than a baked cake, but you need to compare apples to apples to be fair. Cake was not quite as pictured, but had all the described ingredients and tasted awesome, as they always do. I am always the first one to recommend a DQ ice cream cake for any special occasion, that certaily won't change! On-line ordering makes it so you can do it a few days in advance and know the cake you want will be there when you are!

I was chosen to test and review a DQ cake for free by Chick Advisor. I wasn't celebrating anything special but that's never stopped me before! I ordered a traditional DQ cake online - it's my favourite. The cake selection on the website was impressive however I do wish there were more options for decorations. The quality was amazing as usual, I've never been disappointed by a DQ cake. I picked up the aforementioned ordered cake on the day I specified without any issue. It was an easy process. Unfortunately though, the option of ordering online and picking up in store is not available in all stores. I had to pick up mine at a store 30 minutes away from my home even though there is a DQ store only 5 minutes from my home. Nevertheless it was very yummy and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves ice cream.

I received a free cake from Chick Advisor to taste and review.
I ordered a Blizzard Cake, I had difficulty choosing which cake to pick from they all looked so good.
Our family discussed it and we decided to order the Banana Cream pie.
It was easy to order the cake on the website, I was finished ordering within minutes.
After my two days of waiting I picked up the cake, the store was busy so I was given the cake, checked through and I was on my way.
The cake was delicious, after you let it sit for a while.
I never had an ice cream cake before but I'm hooked now.
I want to order the Mint Oreo next.

I got a chance to review a DQ cake from Chick Advisor for free.

Went online to order the cake and the site was well designed and easy to use. However, after selecting the location, there was a note stating if I ordered from the store's site (a separate website) I could get an additional discount. Went to the store's site and while it provided the basics req'd for ordering, it didn't have the same selection as the DQ site nor the level of customization. They should really stick to one site to avoid confusion and for a better experience.

The pickup itself was ok and the staff was friendly, but they incorrectly charged what I had been quoted during the order. After pointing this out, they corrected it without much hassle. Unless you have customization, no need to order online as they had freezers full of cakes. It did make me wonder how fresh these cakes were since there were so much of them and whether my cake was made to order. It would give me more confidence if they placed dates on the cakes.

Cake itself was quite good and comparable level of quality to those I had in the past, nothing overly spectacular, but good and definitely a nice treat to celebrate those special occasions. Seems like the cake was a bit watery though.

Overall, good but could use some improvement. Would order again in the future, especially since I learned that cakes were 1/2 off on Tuesdays at my location !!

I was chosen to try & review a DQ Cake. Best taste test product so far! I ordered a traditional cake, no occasion, just love ice cream cakes. The selection of cakes is great and the ordering process is a breeze. You choose your store for pick up, choose your cake, add it to your cart, add personalization if you want, check out, done! Pick-up was just as easy. The quality of the cake was great, everyone loved it, will definitely order again for occasions or just because. Would for sure recommend to friends, nothing beats a DQ ice cream cake!

I recommend eating the DQ Blizzard Cake’s for every major occasion. This time, we had one for a ball wind up, but it is also an excellent choice for a birthday. To save time (not having to bake) and the overall high quality of the product make DQ ice cream cakes a fool proof choice!

I have had cake designs done at the DQ restaurant near my home in the past, and they have been able to do almost any design or logo I’ve wanted. For my daughter’s birthday a few months ago, they were even able to do up an ELMO design, which no-other place could do. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Similarly, for our wind up this time, I requested I they write a quick message on top of the cake. They were more than accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

I did appreciate that they provided good instructions such as taking it out of your freezer 15 to 20 minutes before serving for the best results. I was also pleased that the quantity served a good number of people. I purchased a 10 inch round blizzard cake and it served 14 of us with some extra to spare!

I would recommend it that anyone and everyone buy this product, for any special occation in their upcoming future.

We were so excited to be able to test the Dairy Cream Blizzard Ice Cream Cake for my birthday! After much debate, we choose a Turtle Brownie cake. There were so many choices to choose from! The online ordering was a piece of cake (ha!). I went in to the store to pick up, gave my name and the cake was brought out. So EASY! I did take a peek at what they had in the display while I was there and was a little disappointed to see that there were other varieties available in store that were not offered online. When I went to pay for the cake, the employee asked if we wanted to have it personalized, and within moments, had done it saying Happy Birthday! She was super sweet to my young son who was also with me and let him pick the colour of icing for the personalization. We were very much looking forward to digging into the cake and everyone really enjoyed it! I heard a lot of "mmmm...so good's" as the little guys were eating. It was very good and the small cake can really feed a lot of people! I would definitely recommend the online ordering system and the cakes themselves for celebrations. Who doesn't love ice cream?!!

I ordered online the Blizzard Midnite Truffle Cake. It was for my husband birthday. The cake selection is not too big. I wanted a cake with fruits (as my husband loves fruit ice-creams) but they only had the Banana Cream Pie and the Strawberry CheeseQuake. We are not fans of bananas & cheesecakes, so I ordered the Truffle Blizzard as I was curious of the taste.
I didn't have any problems with the in-store pick up. Staff was friendly.
But the cake doesn't look the same as on the picture at website. The website says that Midnte Truffle Blizzard Cake includes Truffle pieces, cocoa fudge, fudge and crunch center and vanilla soft serve but mine did not have the vanilla soft serve. It was all chocolate & truffle inside. I have noticed that when I cut the 1st piece that there is not vanilla ice cream inside the cake.
I liked the Blizzard Midnite Truffle Cake. I love chocolate, so the cake was just right for me. It was very sweet, so I was not able to eat a big piece. I would recommend this flavor for people who really like chocolate, chocolate truffles. If you are not a chocolate lover, than better chose a traditional vanilla DQ Cake.
I would recommend DQ Cakes to my family & friends. They are yummy, so for sure I will order another one soon.

Was delighted to review a DQ cake! Ordered an Oreo blizzard cake for my mom's birthday, her favourite kind of blizzard. Plus we've never tried a blizzard cake before. I was a little disappointed about the lack of selection when ordering online, but it did give me peace of mind that the cake would be in-stock and personalization would already be done. It was a yummy change from the usual DQ ice cream cake, it'll make the choice harder for the next time we need/want a cake!
