Growing up getting a DQ ice cream cake for family birthday parties was always the tradition, though we never stray from the regular signature ice cream cake. I figured this was the perfect time to try something new! For my cake we decided to try the Mint Oreo Blizzard cake, it was definitely a delicious choice!

Whenever I'm at my local DQ I take a look at the cake options, they usually only have 2 - 3 different flavour options in the fridge, I was happy to see a much broader selection on-line. Our store had such a big selection on-line that I didn't know where to start at first! They offered cakes, tortes and even cupcakes.

Since we weren't celebrating anything with our cake (ok well maybe we celebrated our love for DQ blizzards) the time to order wasn't an issue, we're also super close to our DQ so it wasn't an inconvenience to have to pick it up a few days later. Pick-up was super easy.

In the future I would definitely order my next DQ cake on-line. Their cakes are always a hit and so yummy, and I loved having even more options by ordering from the comfort of my own home!

I received a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for free as part of the product review club. It was my dad's birthday and as his favourite flavour is the Oreo Blizzard - I just had to order Oreo Blizzard cake. The website is pretty straightforward, easy to navigate and to customize choosing messages and colours. Some improvements to the site would be if you could actually see a picture of the cake you had selected with your message written in the colour of icing or gel you had selected so you could get a sense of overall look. As well it would be nice if you could actually see the list of ingredients of the cake. The ordering takes 2 days. When I went to the store to pick up the cake - they had the cake all ready and packaged for me. The staff was very pleasant and very easy to use the gift card. The most important thing is that everyone loved the taste of the cake really had a great flavour of the Oreo cookie - it was a big hit. I would definitely recommend to my friends - to order online for the ease and picking up at the store.

After receiving a free gift card from Chick Advisor for DQ, I ordered a Skor Blizzard Cake for my husband's birthday using Dairy Queen's new online ording system. It does take 2 days from making your order until it is ready for pickup. With a little advance planning the process was easy. The online website prices included the taxes, so the price you see is what you paid in store. My only complaint was that it appeared the variety of cake options changed depending on the location you were picking up at. It would be nice to see the same selection at all the DQ Stores.

I used my $35 gift card to order a birthday cake for my son (perfect timing). DQ cakes have become a tradition in my home for all our birthdays. I did not order it through the website but preferred calling our local store and placed the order over the phone. It was very fast and the girl was super efficient. I ordered the 10" round Midnight Truffle. Awesome choice! It was super creamy and so fresh. I used a serrated knife to cut the cake and I can honestly say that I had perfect slices. The chocolate was so rich and the cake was not too sweet. If you are looking for the best ice cream cake for a birthday, try the DQ blizzard cakes.

I was lucky to receive a DQ gift card and to be chosen for the DQ Cake review. The DQ location closest to my house did not have online ordering, so I went to the store and picked out a DQ cake to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The selection was great with lots of different styles and sizes. My daughter chose the reese flavoured cake. The store was able to personalize it right away with pink lettering and purple flowers and it looked beautiful! The cake tasted great and all the guests commented how delicious it was. I did find the price to be more than a standard cake but actually less expensive than other brands of ice cream cake.
On a side note, I did look through the on-line selection and was very impressed with the blizzard flavours. I would love to try the skor next time, as long as I can find a location with online ordering near me.
I would definitely choose a DQ cake again in the future.

The online ordering process was quite straightforward. My biggest pet peeve was that the soonest I can pick up is 3 days. I ordered on a Friday night, but I really needed a cake for Sunday (for a good-bye dinner), so was quite annoyed with the lengthy order time.

However, I submitted the order anyway and called my DQ store the next day. Not a problem at all to pickup on Sunday. Whew, relief!

I ordered a Blizzard cake. We only had 4 flavours to choose from (mint oreo, oreo, chocolate xtreme, strawberry cheesequake). Ended up going with strawberry. I only discovered later that other locations had more flavours. No fair!!

At the store, pick-up was easy and straightforward. Service was friendly.

I really like the taste of this, compared to the classic cakes. Maybe it's because we've only ever ordered the classic cake so it was refreshing to try something new.

I would definitely order this again. The 8 inch cake was more than enough for a family of 9 adults and 2 kids after dinner.

I ordered a DQ Blizzard Cake (Skor Bar) through their online ordering system after receiving a gift card from Chick Advisor to try out the cake and online ordering system. I was impressed with the variety of cakes available and had a hard time deciding (they all looked so good in the photos). The ordering online was fast, easy to use and allowed me to make the customizations I wanted (message, colour of icing used for message,etc.). When I arrived at the store the cake was ready for me and the staff were very helpful. Again the process was painless. We were celebrating the success of a new family business and it was the perfect addition to the evening. The cake was loved by everyone and many had second slices. I will definately be ordering future cakes this way as it was easy, fool proof and the price and quality can't be beat!

We got a free personalized ice cream gift card through Chick Advisor and tried ordering a cake online. The website was amazing i could customize the cake and it was fast to do. The variety of ice cream cakes were amazing. I decided to pop in over a hour early to see if my cake was done and it was. They had to get a supervisor but the service was fast and pleasant. It was so nice to take this cake to Sunday dinner at my Mom and Dads and since i was bringing something so nice Mom made one of my favorite dinners! (totally a double score!) Everyone agreed the cake was just amazing and nobody in my family will just walk into a DQ and pick out a cake again... we will all be ordering online from now on. No payment is required at the time of ordering and that is a really nice feature. You need to order the cake 3 days in advance but you get exactly what you want. I got a mint cookies and cream blizzard cake and it was amazing. Being able to personalize it made this the very best cake I have ever had. We didn't know you could order a cake online and as a result my 43rd bday cake had Dora the Explorer on it! Now this will never happen again. Thanks for a amazing free test dessert and way to ensure we get perfect cakes from now on!

I was pleased to receive an invitation to try a dairy queen cake for free. I was planning to celebrate a special event for my daughter. I searched the web site to order it online but unfortunately the closest store to me did not have the size I want. I decided to visit the store, the customer service there was very good and inviting and the girl there helped me to choose which again was not much variety but I decided to get one any way.
I chose the blizzard chocolate extreme which tasted very good but I wished that I got a cake instead.
I would recommend dairy queen to anyone they have different products other than cakes, and it's family oriented.
