When I was selected to test out the online ordering process for the month of September, I was super excited to get a free ice cream cake for my husband's birthday. Only a select number of locations will accept online orders but luckily, the location closest to our house was on the list. It took a total of 3 minutes to place an order online: (1) Choose location (2) Choose cake type (traditional vs ice cream cake) (3) Choose size (4) Choose icing colour & customize message. Pick up was available for next day and I was able to choose a pick up time as well. When we went to pick up the cake, the staff was super friendly and found my cake right away. I paid with no issues using the DQ gift card and was in and out in under 2 minutes! All in all, a great experience and I loved being able to plan ahead!

I was selected to receive a free DQ ice cream cake as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. It was perfect timing as we were celebrating my step father's 65th birthday. I ordered the traditional DQ cake and wasn't disappointed - it was delicious!
The ordering process was ok. I wasn't thrilled that even though there's a DQ right by my home, they don't offer the online ordering and I had to drive across the city to pick it up.
My order wasn't exactly correct. I had requested to have the writing done in blue and it ended up being in red... not a huge deal and I didn't complain about it. I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in ordering again though for anything important - maybe just a family bbq but not something special.

I was so excited to receive my giftcard to try Dairy Queen Cake...just in time for my daughters 6th birthday. It was so easy to log in online and order the cake. I only wish there were a few more options online, but we loved the Balloon cake we decided on. It was so easy to order and than go pick it up at my local DQ. I love that I barely need to talk to anyone... :) The cake we got was beautiful and delicious. It didn't even make it home after the birthday party....gone. I think some of the parents might have dug in as well.
I would highly recommend Dairy Queen cakes to all my friends. Actually i plan on ordering another one in a few weeks to celebrate my brothers birthday.

I was selected to receive a free DQ ice cream cake as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I was picking the cake up for a congratulatory party we were having with friends. I went through the process of ordering the ice cream cake via the new online ordering system. I was disappointed that not all DQ locations were a part of the online system, so I wasn't able to select the closest location to me. The online ordering system was very easy to use, and didn't have any glitches or give me any problems. There were many cakes to choose from, although when looking at the blizzard cakes there were a few cakes I was interested in that actually weren't an option to choose from online. That being said, there were more than enough options to select from.

The online system requires you to give two days notice, but if you need the cake sooner, then call the DQ to make these arrangements. I needed a cake the next day (due to my procrastination), and noted this in my online order. I wanted to pick up at closing time on the Friday, but the earliest they would let me pick up was Saturday. Even though I talked to the store, they indicated that this was the way it works, no exceptions (politely).

I ended up cancelling my online order and purchasing a cake in store. The in-store selection was limited to three different blizzard cake flavours, and the traditional DQ ice cream cake. I chose the peanut butter cup blizzard cake. The cake was delicious, and was exactly what I was expecting in terms of a DQ ice cream cake. The amount of peanut butter cup on top was great, although I was disappointed that the blizzard layer of the cake was lacking the peanut butter cups. I was expecting the blizzard layer to have just as much of the candy in it as if I would have bought a blizzard, and it didn't. That being said, the presentation of the cake and the taste were great.

I would definitely recommend these cakes to others, and would likely buy one again. They are a bit on the expensive side, but compared to the average celebration cake bought in store, they are very comparable. The online ordering process is definitely an easy way to go about getting that special dessert for your party.

Thank you ChickAdvisor Product Review Club for sending me a $35 DQ Cake gift card. I ordered a traditional 8” round DQ Cake. I loved the cake selection and varieties. It was a difficult choice since there were so many flavors of cakes and designs to choose! The round cakes come in two sizes that is 8” and 10”, and the sheet cake comes in 10” x 14”. I selected the Chocolate Xtreme cake and the in-store went very smoothly. I gave DQ a two day notice and went to pick-up the cake with no issues. I used the cake to celebrate a birthday and it is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone at the party enjoyed the visual appeal of the cake, as well as the taste. The quality of the cake is top-notch! The flavors are very fragrant and the cake is perfectly sweetened. I would definitely order another DQ Cake in the future. I also highly urge my friends to check out DQ’s Cakes and order online.

1. I ordered a Rolo Blizzard cake.
2. I thought there was a great variety of cakes to select from.
3. The in-store pick-up experience was fast and easy.
4. We had no particular celebration or occasion for our cake.
5. I thought that they kind of cheaped out on the Rolo cake. There was no middle layer like most of their cakes or like they pictured online. I have had much better, less expensive DQ cakes, so this was a bit of a disappointment.
6. I would not recommend the Rolo cake, so if I had to base my answer on this experience alone, I don't think I'd order another one, but I have ordered DQ cakes in the past and I would definitely recommend them!

My family loves Dairy Queen and so the kids and i drooled over the selection on line of all the different cakes. We finally decided to go with one totally different from any other cake we have had- no flowers on this one- we got a flame cake! Ordering it through DQ website was a cinch and we placed our order. It was to be a best wishes for a great year to encourage the kids to have a great year at school! (Grade 8 and Grade 10.) I received a call from the DQ store here a few hours before i was to pick up cake- they did not have the template to make the cake i had ordered and i was rather bummed- we had planned a whole dinner to go with the cake! The lady at the local DQ recommended doing an air brushing since they did not have the template, which is the only option so we went with it. Picked the cake up and it looked wow! I thought there could have been more "stuff" on the top as it looked a little bare but the colours on the side were amazing and even the kids gave it a thumbs up! The only downfall was the airbrushing on the sides with the flames on it taste really yucky, no one in the house liked it. It tasted almost like licorice which does not go well with the sweetness of the cake. But the rest of the cake was delicious..especially those crunchy little chocolate bits in the middle! We will definitely continue to enjoy DQ cakes- although we may stick with all the flowers and such so the whole cake tastes divine!

I got a traditional DQ cake that looked like a cute little purple monster, but there were many other awesome choices on the website, which I found very user friendly. The staff at the store at pick-up were great, the girl who rang me in loved the cake design as well. I took it to a birthday party potluck and it was a hit, I would so order another cake again.
