A special occasion is not a special occasion without a dairy queen cake. I wish our dairy queen provided a variety of dairy queen cakes. If I want a variety I have to go out of town but they are worth every mileage.
This is everyone in my family's favourite birthday cake. The smooth creamy ice cream and the chewey chocolatey centre is to die for. Best "cake" ever.
When I'm craving ice cream in the summer months, I go for these. I love the chocolate fudge sauce and cookie crumbs layer on the bottom but I really wish they'd make that a lot more thicker! The ideal ratio of ice cream to cookie crumb/fudge sauce for me would be 1:3 because I already feel like they put way too much ice cream on top. In the photos they use for advertising, you think you're getting an equal amount of both but that's hardly the case at all. Either way, it's still delicious and a hit with the kids. I pick this up when there is a coupon offer or sale so it's a decent buy.
I do really enjoy a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake on occasion. It's layers of cookie crumbs, fudge/chocolate and ice cream are delicious. I've gotten them for a few family events in the summer and they are always a big hit on a nice warm summer day. They have some really creative designs for them that make them a lot of fun to get. They do cost a bit but really not much more than going and getting a grocery store/bakery cake. I do recommend trying them, if you love ice cream you will love these!
I bought the peanut butter Dairy Queen cake for my father-in-law's birthday and everyone (young and old) at the party really enjoyed it. I loved the texture of it, and the pieces of peanut butter cups inside, as well as the fudgy center. I do find that the price is a bit steep for what it is...a fun, summer-day cake.
I'm an absolute ice cream fanatic, and so is my boyfriend - so these DQ cakes definitely get a thumbs up. They run upwards of $30, but are worth the pretty penny. The cookie crumbles and fudge centre is to die for. My only complaint is that the outside begins to melt, meanwhile it's still impossible to cut through the frozen centre. I still love this cake and get one every birthday !
I love these more than regular cakes, especially on hot summer days.. love that they come in different flavours not just one :) I definitely have had a few of these
A favorite birthday treat! The price isn't out of the comfort zone but close. We love the taste and the options for pictures and themes makes this a really personalized treat.
Love their ice cream cakes!!! Especially the fudge in the middle. The only complaint I have about them is the price, being $25-40+ depending on size. I have never been disappointed whether choosing a cake from the freezer or ordering a custom made!
As a kid I always used to get a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for my birthday, actually most people my family did. I love that they still make that original cake and it's awesome but the fact that they've added a whole bunch of blizzard cakes makes it even more exciting. Most recently my daughter chose a cookie dough blizzard cake. Although it may have been sweeter than I would've chosen for myself we all loved it and it was a big hit at her birthday party. Just always remember to leave it out for a bit first so you can cut it I can't believe how hard to get LOL
