I love movies that are based on true stories and this was one of them. Such an amazing movie that will have you in tears by the end if it. A real eye opener on the AIDS dilemma as far back as the 1970'S and how it took a decade for this movie to be made and heard, truly touching and inspirational.

Such an awesome movie.
Quite sad of course considering the topic.
Matthew did an amazing job portraying his character.
Jared Leto also killed his role.
I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.

such a great movie! very interesting and very dramatic. amazing film making and excellent acting. it deserves the Oscars it got. Matthew McConaughey survived on a can of sardines and salt water a day to lose weight and to look like an AIDS patient for this movie. 5 stars. really great. plus, it is based on a true story.

This was a great movie. One with a really strong message, and a clear method behind the plotline as a whole.

What a stunning movie. It was an amazing movie that taught me a lot. Matthew is absolutely stunning- that oscar was incredibly well deserved, as was Jared Leto- he was heartbreakingly good. Such an important story.

Amazing film by Canadian filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallee(C.R.A.Z.Y. and Young Victoria). This stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto who both took Oscars for the Best Actor and Supporting Actor roles. I was blown away by Best Actor McConaughey. He usually plays in many rom-com's and this proved how versatile he is. This is a very gritty and real story about the politics of health issues and AIDS in North America. It was really great to see how the actors were challenged and pushed in their roles. I loved it.
