Estella Goodwin is put into witness protection. Coming from money and a city lifestyle in Philadelphia she is thrown into country life in Thunder Basin, Nebraska. All of her families assets are locked and she finds her self living with an ornery retired cop named Carmina. She is no longer known as Estella Goodwin but instead she is now Stella Gordon.

She is a typical broody teenager who resents the government for placing her in this position and she resents Carmina and does everything in her power to make sure Carmina knows this.

But as fate would have it, the one place she started off hating turns out to be the one true place where she belongs, where she finally finds family, love and happiness.

Great story line. The book got better and better as I read.

This was my first time reading a Becca Fitzpatrick book and I must say I enjoyed it.
