Does the job!

I received this product (DAP Alex Ultra Advanced Latex Sealant) for #free through Butterly in exchange for my honest review.
I am not what you would call a handy woman, but thankfully my spouse was able to help me review this product.

It's advertised as anti-stink, but I wouldn't go as far to say it's anti. Reduced odor compared to other sealants, yes!
My husband found it was a lot harder to work with verses other sealants he uses in the past (including other Alex Flex products). The "finsh" was a clean when he would smooth out the area with his damp finger. Had a more sticky consistency than he's use to.
We used in the bathroom along the connection wall and shower as well in the living area for a baseboard. All in all the product does work and takes about 20 minutes to completely dry.

Dries fast

Great product and dries fast I will be using this caulking from now on and the smell isn’t as strong as other caulking products it applys so good a must buy

Great Sealant for our Small Project

We used this product to fill a couple of small holes and cracks in our wall. It was easy to use and cleaned up really nicely. It dried and was ready to paint over in 15 minutes as advertised. Best of all, no stank!

It’s Ok…

Not a really big fan. This may be an okay choice for a rarely used bathroom or areas that won't get seen much, like behind the toilet. It does work, not great, but okay work.

Great Caulking

Before I paint, I like to recaulk around my windows. It provides extra insulation where the seal might have cracked over time. You will need to get a caulking gun if you don't have one. It is required before using the Alex Ultra. It is easy to use. Once you cut the top off you can start using the sealant. It drys pretty quickly and there is no smell. I wish it came with a cap so I can reuse it. I was given the product for free for my review.

It is easy to apply but has one flaw

I recently tested this product and found it to be easy to apply and use in the washroom. It did a good job but my review is a little low because a relative has used this in the past and it went moldy after some time which means you will have to reapply more frequently.

As a handyman caulking that cracks is most often caused by the material its applied on moving and not the caulking.Although there is anti-shrink formula helps to eliminate shrinking and cracking. DIY tool to have!

I got the DAP Alex Ultra Sealant to try for free and I was excited to try this at home for small DIY projects I had planned such as chalking the bathroom vanity and more. It was my first time using this product as I am only familiar with tile chalking for washrooms so a paint sealant was new for me. It was easy to load into my chalking gun and there was a lot to use in the package which is great for larger projects so if this came in different sizes or has the ability to remove and reuse, it may be something I would use for future paint projects. It came out smooth and the perfect shade of white. However, sometimes it came out too thinly or too thickly so I had to wipe it off and retry several times. I guess it depends on how large I cut the hole. I appreciated that if I accidentally got it on other spaces like my hands etc that it was easily wipeable and removable without causing a huge mess. This project might not be for me but I can see how it would be useful for others on their DIY home projects.
