I have eczema and it's really bad on my scalp. It's gotten to the point where Head & Shoulders and Neutrogena T Gel don't cut it anymore. Continued use of the derma e Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner have done wonders for my scalp. My scalp is not completely cleared yet but instead of several areas of patches, scaling, and flaking I'm down to like three. When you use the conditioner you can actually feel the tingling as it calms the itching on the scalp. With the derma e products I can actually go 24 to 48 hours, depending on sweat factor, before feeling the need to scrape or shampoo my hair.

Though my scalp is in good condition right now, I always notice minor flakes and irritation from time to time. After using the shampoo and conditioner daily for over a month, I have definitely noticed an improvement in the condition of my scalp and hair, from root to tip.

The shampoo is a clear gel, and the conditioner is a thick white cream. I love the shampoo since it's pretty basic - no drying ingredients like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, but an effective cleanser overall. The fragrance is light and refreshing, perfect for women or men.

I was so hesitant to use the conditioner, since I usually stick to shampoo only so that my hair doesn't get weighed down. But when I read the directions and realized that this one is silicone-free, I decided that I should face my fears and do as they say: Apply to freshly shampooed hair and SCALP. omg. conditioner on my roots. will I survive?

Sure enough, I'm still here to tell the tale. And my hair is not an oil slick!

I massaged a generous dollop of conditioner all over my hair and scalp, and left it to penetrate for 2 minutes. Then rinse, dry and style as usual. I am so pleased and frankly overwhelmed, since my thin hair is consistently light and manageable after using the conditioner. Best of all, it feels amaaaaaazing. So soft, so silky, so healthy. The routine doesn't force me to wash my hair any more or less, but it is sure to provide a tangle-free, silky smooth finish to my hair. A-pproved.

I have always had a dandruff / dry scalp problem.

I have tried everything from expensive medicated shampoos to drugstore brands, scalp treatments and masks – nothing really seemed to work…

The dandruff / dry scalp flakes would go away for a little bit but would come back and seem to be worse or my scalp would be good but my hair was stringy, frizzy or weighed down.

I’ll admit I was skeptical only because I had tried so many products throughout the years.


I really liked that the products have natural ingredients like Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Menthol, Tea Tree oil, Sweet Almond Oil and are cruelty-free and 100 percent vegan.

I started by wetting my hair and applying the shampoo to my hair and scalp.

I loved how easily it lathered!

I let the shampoo sit in my hair for about 3 minutes, and then rinsed it out.

I massaged the conditioner to my hair and scalp, let it sit for 3 – 5 minutes and rinsed it off.

A little product goes a long way!


I LOVED the cooling and tingling sensation both products give the scalp! It feels like little fingers massaging the scalp - feels nice and relaxing.

For me the tingling sensation lasted about 10 minutes after I washed my hair.

My hair felt so soft and silky, voluminous, shiny and was practically tangle free.

With each use the flakes have become less.

After using it for just over one week there are still a few flakes here and there but my scalp feels hydrated, not dry and itchy. My hair is shiny, soft and manageable.

I love to look at my shoulders and not see white flakes everywhere.

It’s great for your scalp as well as your hair, which is very rare to find in my experience!


I will say the first few times I tried the product, I had really dirty 2 day old hair, I made sure to use more hair product (Texture spray, dry shampoo, hair spray) than usual, I really wanted to test the derma e® products.


Regardless if I had really dirty hair or if I washed my hair every day, it felt nourished and healthy.

I would recommend this product for anyone who has trouble finding a great product for dandruff or dry scalp.
