No Longer Skeptical

I love this tool. I have read about them before and just got the courage to try one and am so happy with the results. You roll it over your skin, back and forth and in diagonal directions. This one has 540 tiny needles and my face looks wonderful. It’s great for skin regeneration, skin tightening and collagen stimulation. It’s now a part of my daily skincare. It isn’t painful but if you have sensitive skin, use an over the counter lidocaine topical first. I noticed a visible difference with the first use. The dead skin sloughs up and your skin is left with a nice glow. After using it, you clean the roller with alcohol and store it in its case.

Interesting new technique!

When I first saw this tool, I thought it was something straight out of a torture chamber – and then to think this is something that touches your face… it looks terrifying! However, that didn’t stop me from being curious on how it works.

The Derma Roller is a handheld device that has tiny medical-grade needles sticking out of it, which when rolled across your skin, has the ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin. It creates microchannels in your skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing process to create new, healthier tissue.

I received the Derma Roller for free to share my review on it. I chose to try out the 1.0mm sized needles mainly for the benefits it provides. Here’s a chart of the different sized needles and what they are best for:

To start, I washed my face and sprayed the Derma Roller with rubbing alcohol. I rolled the Derma Roller across my face in sections – 4 times vertically, 4 times horizontally, and then 4 times diagonally. At first it felt like little stings, but then the more I went over my face, the more it began to hurt. Some spots were more sensitive than others (I couldn’t do my chin or upper lip!), but I could easily do my forehead.

After using the Derma Roller, my face got red and blotchy. My acne and previous scars were definitely more noticeable as well. I used a collagen mask as well after using the Derma Roller to promote faster skin healing. I left it on for about 20 minutes, and when I removed it, my face felt so soft. It was still a bit red, but the next day my skin looked noticeably smoother.

Overall, I feel with continual use of this, I will definitely see a difference in my skin. I do have a lot of acne scars, so I am hoping this will help with further healing!

I received my Derma Roller 540 1.0mm just a few days ago and I’ve noticed results after my first use. I love the sleek case it comes in, it keeps it clean and safe between uses. I’ll have to admit, looking at it and all the needles, I was afraid to put it on my face. I tested it out on my arm first to see what it felt like. It wasn’t to bad, so I began to use it on my face. It was slightly uncomfortable but I continued. On a pain scale of 1 – 10 I’d give it a 2. It wasn’t to bad.

After using the Derma Roller I moisturize my face. It felt a little tingly. I waited for my face to dry than I went to bed. When I woke up and looked in the mirror my face was glowing. My complection was pretty even. I am using this product to minimize fine lines and even my skin tone. I’m excited to continue using it to see how much improvement can be accomplished. I would definitely recommend this products to my friends.
