Good coverage but hard to blend
I received some samples free to try of dermablend. I found it very hard to find my perfect shade even with the samples. I also found that it went on smoothly and nicely but then it once it was on it was hard to move around and blend. Have to be very careful in your application and no rely on blending it in and around. It did seem to have very good coverage though
Fabulous coverage
I absolutely LOVE this foundation and have been using it since Shoppers Drugmart discontinued my go to foundation. The coverage is generally really good but requires some time to blend in nicely. I do have some facial psoriasis that will highlight foundation when I’m wearing it (dry skin), this won’t cover that without adding a good moisturizer or primer first. It’s a tad pricey but well worth the cost for anyone really needing a solid foundation.
Great foundation with medium coverage
I have acne-prone, combination-oily (mainly oil in the t-zone area and dry in some areas) skin. I was using a certain brand that is now discontinued at shoppers drug mart (my main store for most of my make-up), and I was told that this Dermablend is apparently the "replacement" for that discontinued brand. I gave it a try and I like it so far. This brand has different products that offer the coverage you want (from light to heavy), and I chose this medium coverage foundation. It covers fairly well without making you look cakey and it does last. I've gotten soaked in rain a few times while wearing this make up and it did not run down my face like some other products have. It did not make my acne particularly worse (some do), so that is a bonus. Yes, the price isn't very cheap at $42 plus tax for 30ml, but it last very long time for me (I don't put it all over my face and only use fingers to apply) so price isn't bad at all. These come in variety of shades so I am happy to find my shade that actually works perfect for me. Happy with this product for sure!
This is the foundation I have been using for a few months now, it's medium/full coverage but tends not to stay on for as long as I'd like and doesn't cover large pigmentation differences or acne as well as I would like for the price. It doesn't make me breakout though and it provides better coverage than most foundation I've used so I will continue to use it.
The only thing disappointing to me about this product is it used to be part of the Vichy line, and when they broke away from that, it doubled in price. The lady told me it was because there was more but I compared it and it's not. They are the same size, just different packaging.
That being said, it gives great coverage, I don't break out from it, it last for hours. I work 12 hour days, I get up and have my face done by about 5am, and then don't get back to my room till about 7 - 7:30, I touch up once during the day, usually mid-afternoon. And I touch my face quite a bit. It covers all those little imperfections. I have tried a lot of foundations and this one is by far my go to now. Second in line is Lancome. I left the Lancome line cause it was so pricey. Now I am dealing with pricey again. The tube holds 30ml. But since I don't break-out - I stick with it.
