This Right Angle Flex Shaft is actually one of the few tools we don’t have in either of our workshops. It is handy for those awkward situations where your hand just isn’t bending the right direction or able to get into small angled locations.

We have a Makita drill set, and this shaft is totally compatible with it and goes in just like any other bit.

The end of the shaft has a star shaped head, so perfect for most jobs around the house and yard. What I love about the head the most – it’s extremely magnetic and helps hold screws in place while you hold onto the side handle to really drive it in.

I do find that with longer screws, you have to have a lot of stability while initially drilling, otherwise, the screw has issues actually holding place until it is secure in the wood (drywall, metal, etc.), and it is definitely easier to secure smaller screws without any issues.

The shaft itself is really sturdy, durable, and pretty high quality with some good weight to it – yet, has flexibility and is not so heavy that it is tiring to the arms or hands. As a woman, having lighter tools is important, especially when we work on larger projects.

This shaft came in time to help us build our deck – there were some awkward areas, and we were able to get screws in places that we would not have been able to get to otherwise – success!

Overall, I would recommend this shaft for anyone who does a lot of DIY work – it will definitely come in handy one day!
