Didn't leave my hands clean feeling
I was excited to try the Dial Pure Micellar Foaming Hand Wash, Juniper scent. It sounded like it would be light and fresh in fragrance, but instead it was horrible and putrid. The smell lasted long after washing and it wasn't pleasant, to me, at all. I also found that there was a lasting feel on my hands from after washing with it. I used it only 3 times and then couldn't continue with it. I had high hopes, because I thought it would be much more to my liking, but I ended up giving it to a friend who said she was interested in trying it. I never heard from her if she liked it or not. I wouldn't buy it, and I wouldn't recommend it.
Very Watery
At first glance, the foaming hand wash has a nice fresh scent. It is not strong and overpowering. The texture is light and feels weightless. I also find it to be less harsh on the skin compared to the other Dial hand soap. However, a big draw back is that the hand soap seems to get used up a lot quicker than any other hand soaps that I usually use. It only took our family of 3 about 2 weeks to finish the entire bottle which is not a norm is our household. For this reason, I do not think that I would recommend this to friends and family. Thank you ChickAdvisor for sending this to me to test and review.
Its ok but
I was really excited to try this working in healthcare and being fastidious about keeping clean. I love the juniper scent. It is so soft and gentle on the nose which is very important being a migraine sufferer. However, the scent is about the only thing i enjoyed about this product.
I question how effective the product truly is. Whenever I use it it honestly feels as if it is just sliding off my hands instead of actually cleansing them. It does not actually feel as if it is making any real contact with the skin and any dirt sadly. I wish I had access to some of those experiments they run to show bacteria on hands before and after washing to determine just how effective this product is as it feels as if it is doing nothing on my hands and I am rewashing them with another soap afterward.
So until I could see evidence of the effectiveness of this product it is not something I would recommend to people. I seriously have my doubts.
Nothing special
What’s the point of a hand soap being micellar, if it doesn’t clean your hands super well? With an oily residue on my hands, it takes 2-3 rounds of hand washing with this soap to get them feeling clean. At this rate, I’m going to end up going through this admirably small bottle of soap very quickly. Not exactly a great value. At least it’s gentle enough and doesn’t dry out my hands with all that washing!
I’m also not a huge fan of the smell (despite liking Juniper usually) but I’m glad it’s not too strong. It leaves a bit of a sulphur smell in my sink, too. (First time that’s ever happened with a soap!)
All in all, there’s nothing that makes this soap stand out from any other foaming hand wash, and definitely smell it before purchasing.
No soap in this soap
I'm not sure what the cleaning agent is in this, but there is no sodium laurel or anything related, which is soap. So, I don't think it will really clean anything. It may life the dirt away but not the germs.
Not great for grease
I wanted to see how well the soap worked so I put it in my kitchen. I wash frequently between steps or after touching meat. I noticed I still felt grease on my hands after I washed and would have to repeat it again to get the rest of the grease. Once I even just gave up and grabbed the dish soap. So maybe for a guest bathroom it would be alright. It smelt nice, bubbled well, just isn’t meant to be in the kitchen. Can’t comment on the value as I #gotitfree but I needed more soap for it to be effective so not cost friendly.
