Great pail, could use more odor control

I picked this pail because of the foot pedal and easy lock mechanism to keep baby out. However, my son figured it out and started throwing toys in there by 9 months old. Also, the odor control was fine up until the diapers started really stinking by 6 months. I had to use two charcoal deodorizers in it and it helped but you can't really keep diapers in there for more than 2 days before it gets really gross in the room. I stopped using it by the end of year one to get rid of diapers to the outside garbage on a daily basis.
