I saturate a cotton pad with it and rub it all over and around my brows before tweezing. Don't squeeze too hard, though. You don't need it running down into your eyes. Please, don't let a beauty hazard become a health hazard.
dickison's witch hazel . it doesnt have alchol scent . its feel so nice on your face . i do recommended it . i love it .
It doesn't have to be Dickinson's brand - but Witch Hazel is my new beauty secret. Available at any drug store or pharmacy, Witch Hazel has made my problem, eczema-prone, sensitive, acne infested skin look beautiful. It does not dry out my skin (which was a huge concern) it works as a cleanser when I'm lazy or what I intended to use it as a toner to just get the last of the makeup or dirt off. It has what I guess you could call a pleasant scent... it is not unpleasant it is just hard to describe. I highly recommend trying it. if it doesn't work as a toner, it is also great for cleaning scrapes and cuts or even getting rid of bruises - so for the crazy affordable price it is worth every penny.
I really like this product. It is cheap and effective. I used to use other toners like Clinique and Garnier but I think witch hazel is the most effective because it does not dry out my skin, yet it leaves my skin feeling clean. My skin is really sensitive and I have combination skin so it was hard to find something that will not irritate my skin, yet yield the same results. Also, witch hazel is all natural and there can be other uses for it. For example, I follow a youtube video to make my own eye make-up remover. All I do is mix half olive oil with half witch hazel and it works great! I would recommend witch hazel to anyone to use.
Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel is a 100% natural astringent. It claims to be a gentle formulation that cleans deeply to remove the last traces of makeup, soap residue and excess oil with out over drying your skin. How ever that wasn’t my experience with it. It seemed to be working well for me the first week, but the fallowing week my skin became very dry and flakey. So I stopped using it for a week then tried it again, but with in the next week I was starting to dry out again. I have combo oily skin, so this really surprised me. I thought that something that says it’s gentle wouldn’t do this, but it did to me. Other then the drying out part I did really like this product, I just can’t use it everyday. I wish we had something else to pick other then just you betcha and forget about it because some products are an in between type of deal like this is to me. How ever I’d still say give it a try and see how your own skin reacts to it, some people really like and its not drying to them.
If I don't use this every day after washing my face, it breaks out and my pores are huge, and my makeup ends up sinking into them! If my skin is broken out, I use this and within 2 days, my skin is cleared up. It's also great for bug bites. Great item to have in the house period and at $3 a bottle, it's a steal :)
This is cheap way to have a great toner it works great and costs very little . I use it daily and it does not dry out my skin at all. and its a great pick me up in the morning when you are trying to wake up.
This is one of those products that has so many uses that once you discover it you start to wonder how you ever got along without it. Days I haven't worn makeup at all I moisten a cotton ball with some witch hazel and use it to clean my face before bed. If I've worn makeup I wash it off with my usual cleanser then follow up with the witch hazel as a toner/astringent. It's really helped to keep my face clear and never dries out my skin at all. It also helps relieve itchiness from bug bites and helps all sorts of little scrapes and scratches feel better as well as getting them cleaned up and seems to help them heal a bit faster - without stinging. The smell might be a little unpleasant for some people but it dissipates very quickly. It's also done wonders for clearing up the Keratosis Pilaris on my arms. Love it!
