I like this product, it does very well at deep cleaning without drying out my skin. It does have a very odd smell that I do not like, but I can get over that because it does so well. I also notice that when I use it, my skin has less breakouts which is always a plus. I also use it when I have little patches of dandruff, I tend to get them around my hairline due to beauty products and other hair products I use. So I put a little witch hazel on a cotton pad and just dab at the spots and it goes away. I like that this product is 100% natural, so I know what I'm putting on my skin. This stuff is also great for ingrown hairs, it has so many uses!
A very gentle astringent that clean off dirt from the face and doesn't burn. The witch hazel can be used to reduce swelling from mosquito bites.
I didn't like this product so much. I didn't like that it had a alcohol smell to it. I found that it dried out the spots around my nose and mouth.
Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel is a 100% natural astringent. It claims to be a gentle formulation that cleans deeply to remove the last traces of makeup, soap residue and excess oil with out over drying your skin. How ever that wasn’t my experience with it. It seemed to be working well for me the first week, but the fallowing week my skin became very dry and flakey. So I stopped using it for a week then tried it again, but with in the next week I was starting to dry out again. I have combo oily skin, so this really surprised me. I thought that something that says it’s gentle wouldn’t do this, but it did to me. Other then the drying out part I did really like this product, I just can’t use it everyday. I wish we had something else to pick other then just you betcha and forget about it because some products are an in between type of deal like this is to me. How ever I’d still say give it a try and see how your own skin reacts to it, some people really like and its not drying to them.
