Gamechanger

Not being originally from here, I've struggled with the Canadian weather for a while. Too hot in summer, too cold in winter. This is the first time I've tried a Balaclava and I've got to say, it's a gamechanger! The worst thing for me in the -15 degree weather I tried this in, is the burning of the nose and mouth. Wearing this was a massive difference compared to just wrapping my scarf.

There isn't much to say about it. It's fleece, so it does pick up pet hair easy, but it's easy to keep clean and reasonably priced. Most importantly, you can wear a thin hat under it and it fits both giant heads and smaller ones. I do wish it was a little easier to take off, but having it be all one piece means more warmth and I felt a massive difference in the windchill while wearing this. I like that you can pull it as tight or loose as you need.

Note: It also came with some kind of free 'flu mask' fabric thing in which the mask attached to ears muffs and the mask face was cute characters. Perhaps good for children, but a bit tricky to get on an adult and too whimsical for some.
