Great foundation
I have been using this product for more then a year now and I LOVE it. It feels so nice and light on the skin. I have Rosalia and find the coverage to be very good. Spray on a foundation brush and apply. Goes on even and lasts all day. I use mine every day and one can last me 3 months. I will continue to use this great foundation!
I don’t particularly like the product. For one thing you’ll never get the longer use out of this you would a regular potted or loose powder. At best, with daily use, you’re looking at a month’s worth of powder. I’d say your average pan powder would last you six months to a year…so you see the expensive dilemma we have here. My other issue with the product is the fact it bursts out of the can as a really dark orange. That’s fine at first but if you’re applying it to closely you’ll notice it has a slight staining effect so you’re left with little subtle spots of orange here and there. Secondly, during application you’ll find it applies very unevenly. The best results would be applying it and using a bushier brush to blend it out. This isn’t a spray, boom, done! This is more a spray and take time out to blend it property otherwise your brows and lashes have a heavy layer of orange-y beige powder as does your forehead, cheeks, and chin. AS I mentioned above it is orange at first but fades to a lighter shade of orange-y beige which for the most part is transparent but I think if you’re super fair you might find that it creates casts a strange finish on your skin. Personally I felt it made me look a little orange-y….It is indeed a matte finish so beware if you have drier skin like mine as I felt like it clung to my patchier areas and if not blended correctly will likely emphasize pores. Dior Airflash Matte Touch Long Lasting Airy Powder is an interesting and innovative product but isn’t a practical or terribly friendly on your wallet. You’ll have more manageability with a simple face powder and sponge during application than you would armed with this powder mist and a brush. This mist has a learning curve and results that aren’t quite what I pictured….! Ideally I’d love it if it applied smooth and evenly but at the moment I’m misting on and having to blend out with a powder brush so it defeats the purpose of the uber cool packaging. I love the idea, I just don’t love the performance. Sorry Dior.
