I was given this mascara in my stocking a couple of years ago and from that day on used it religiously. I'm a big mascara fan - you know, if ever stuck on a deserted island, what is one thing you would like to have with you? Me: mascara.
That being said, I used the Diorshow Mascara until it dried up. I was bummed I had to buy the replacement because it's pretty pricey for a mascara. But, I had to have it.
I was disappointed the second time around, not because I had to shell out a bunch for it, but because I'm pretty sure it's a different formula. This one doesn't go on very well at all, I have to add a few coats, and by that time it's clumpy :(
What happened Dior? Where did my love go?
Needless to say, I have about 30 other mascaras as backup - I know, I know, mascaras shouldn't be kept for too long once opened, blah blah blah. Anyway, my go-to mascara now is MAC's Pro Lash for light separation, lengthening. I'm still using Dior for volume, but it's with a heavy heart I do so.
You can certainly buy other mascaras that are just as good for A LOT less.
When I’m going out with friends, I make sure my eyes are always the focal point. I’ve never been a lip gloss or lipstick girl – it just always looks a little off on me. For more dramatic and intense evening eyes, I have a couple of tried-and-true stand-bys. First is everyone’s favorite and an Allure Reader’s Choice winner, Dior Diorshow. I started using this many many years ago when it first came out. It gave great length, volume and staying power with no clumping (a major pet peeve.) I think Dior redid the formula over the years though, but I’ve noticed more clumping and it tends to dry out VERY quickly.
I agree with MakeUpHeidi, this mascara is an amazing product. I love how it makes my lashes look on a big night out. I tried it for the first time as a sampler at Sephora before a big event and my lashes looked awesome for the whole evening. My only complaint about it is the price. It's expensive enough that I just don't want to buy it on a regular basis, especially when I don't need my lashes to pop like that every day. $20-30 for a mascara that I can really only wear maybe once a month or so is just a little too steep for me.
I wanted to love DiorShow mascara so badly. I would see it in magazines and it won best mascara in several places. So, I decided to take the plunge and spend $24 on it. The mascara goes on fairly well, but, isn't very thick in consistency. As soon as I walked out in the sun and my eyes started watering...forget about it! The mascara was literally running down my face and getting into my eyes..making them water even more. I was soooo upset! I never even tried it again because I cannot have my mascara running down my face. Great mascara should stay put. So, for $24 because of it's name...who cares...not worth it!
This mascara coats my lashes and makes them look darker, fuller, and longer. It is not clumpy, it applies nice and thin and you can combine it with Dior's other mascaras for greater effects. I would never give up this product.
I love this mascara. As some who has short, blonde, sparse lashes, this is one of only two mascaras I've found that actually make any difference - and the difference is huge! It looks like you're wearing lash inserts! It makes your lashes long, lush, and dramatic. It is expensive, but completely worth it.
This is a classic. Builds great lashes , separates and lengthens and makes them appear a bit thicker!
The only probles is the size og the brush I have a slight phobia of things around my eyeballs and this brush is so big I feel like it can take my eye out, doesn't get the smalles lashes but who needs them anyway?
This is one of my default mascaras .
DiorShow is a really amazing mascara if you want dramatic lashes. It adds extreme length and volume and I can't tell you how many people have complemented my lashes since I've started wearing it. I bought mine at Shoppers Drug Mart after asking the lady at the makeup counter for a recommendation and she told me that she never leaves home without her DiorShow, and now I totally see why!
This mascara is great! It leaves my lashes looking super long and it doesn't clump. It's also not too bad to remove.
I think I am the only person who is not in love with this mascara. I tried it out and found that it was not worth the cost as my LashBlast worked just as well (if not better). I found that this product clumped more on me than other mascaras and after extended use, it irritated my eyes. I will not buy this product again.
