Love it but small add on parts that come off easily

We love the dance and twirls - some parts of this castle snap on and off and my daughter is constantly pulling them off then asking for help to add them back :) other then that lots of fun

    My Disney lover approves

My daughter is currently beauty and the beast upset. I wanted to get her something Disney related for her birthday and came across a few pricey options then found this one and it’s a hit. She loves to make belle dance and is always telling her cousins all about her new beauty and the beast toy. She makes me play he soundtrack to the movie on my phone as belle dances around. For the price, you can’t go wrong If your little princess is a fan of belle then this is a must have.

Great fun and simple to set up and use

Wow, this is a really fun toy and having the 'Disney' element (especially Princesses) makes it a must-have toy for any Disney fan. Initially, I thought it wasn't very good, but that was my fault, so make sure to give it a fair chance before writing it off. It does a couple of goes to figure out how to get Belle to spin well, so read the instructions and be patient. It might be worth getting the hang of this by yourself so you can help your kid out if they have trouble.

    Features and Fun
    ------------------------
Basically, you 'rev' Belle up by putting her on the right hand peg and pulling the drawstring 'dog ottoman' character. As you pull it, the clock spins and she becomes charged up, so if you place her on the ramp she will spin down and then spin around the ballroom. She can also be placed on the balcony to make Lumiere and Mrs Potts spin.

It's surprisingly simple, but a lot of fun. Keep in mind if you place her too high on the ramp or she is not charged enough, she will fall over, there's a trick to getting it right that you will pick up quickly. When you get it right, she just seems to go and go and go. At slower speeds it looks like a beautiful graceful dance, at fast speeds it looks manic and hilarious.

The genius of this toy is that it's really fun to work. Because you have to pull the drawstring, there's no batteries to run out and spoil the fun and kids can play with it all day. It really is very fun to play with and kids never seem to tire of it, even bringing in their other toys to enjoy the 'castle' when they aren't spinning Belle. Considering the dolls (you can buy other magical movers dolls) costs $10 by themselves, the price for this with the castle is pretty good. I do wish they had a Beast doll though, so we could watch them twirl together and bump into each other!

    ------------------------
    Design
    ------------------------
There's some really clever design choices here, everything is polished and pretty and doesn't look cheap or partially painted. Belle herself is very cute, though she can't really stand up by herself, meaning she's pretty much limited to this playset if you want her to stand.

The roses on the plastic base are really lovely and the colours are bright. Our personal favourite was the 'wardrobe' scene and the pretty stained-glass window feature. This is just a very pretty set overall and would make a great background or play area for bringing in other toys and characters.

    ------------------------
    Set-up
    ------------------------
Compared to most toy setups, this is pretty easy, but it does still take around fifteen minutes. Basically everything just clicks in (instructions on the bottom of the box), but I will admit some of the bits have to be pushed quite hard. It's blessedly easy to extract everything from the box, only one or two elastics to snip and pretty easy to get everything out compared to other toys I've assembled. Once assembled though, it can't really go back in the box, so keep that in mind if you are giving it as gift, it'll either have to be in the box or out and assembled, you can't put it together to check it works and then take it back apart. (Well, maybe you could if you pulled really hard, but I'd be worried about breaking it.

Most importantly, there are no blasted stickers to stick on! Most of it comes preassembled and all stickers are pre-stuck, meaning you don't have to deal with that!
