Although I am far from a young adult, I did thoroughly enjoy this trilogy. Like most, I prefer the first book and found the third to be a touch of a let down. Just my personal thought! Even with that I would and do recommend this series.

Divergent has garnered many comparisons to The Hunger Games, but that's not a bad thing. I found this dystopian young adult novel very entertaining and I must admit I read it in a single day. It is an easy read and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This is another one of those "Young Adult" books that has become a hit with adult readers everywhere and I absolutely know why. This book was AMAZING. It's kind of hopping on the Hunger Games post-apocolyptic theme train, but the story is so different it is no copy cat. This book hooks you right from the beginning and keeps you reading on. Because it's a "YA" novel, it's an easier read which is good because you can read it quickly, but bad because it keeps you up at night with the "just one more chapter!" thing happening. The story is compelling, moving and suspensful. The movie comes out soon and my general rule (if at all possible) is to always read the book first. I find I end up liking the movie better because I have the background knowledge that heps explain things the movie may not. So long story short, read this book, read it SOON.

I have to say that this is a must-read for Hunger Games fans. With this being said, I think this series is actually better than the Hunger Games series. Don't believe me? Read it. You'll be addicted. The new book comes out this fall and it's marked on my calendar for pre-order. Read this book, then the second one, and you won't regret it.

Ever since finishing The Hunger Games I couldn't find anything that I wanted to read and my sister got me HOOKED on this. Finished it in basically a day! I love the characters, the twists, & hoow the story takes place in Chicago. I can't wait to start the second one on my next day off.
