We recently started canoeing and cottaging more often, so needed an upgrade in some of our storage bags.

We decided a 25L bag would be suffice for a day canoe trip. On our first trip, we were able to carry two towels, swimsuits, sunscreen, water bottles, lunch, and my book with a bit of room within the bag to spare.

The material a thin waterproof material and we did the towel test before actually venturing out – we put in a folded towel, closed the bag (roll the flap down 3 times, then clip it closed with the plastic buckle on top), and showered with the bag. It’s all about multi tasking!

The towel came out without being damp, and the bag was dry inside, so I am comfortable in saying it is waterproof.

Due to the material’s thinness though in comparison to higher end bags, I can see it being more susceptible to tears. For our needs though, a lightweight bag should do the job for a while. Due to the thinness, it is easily rolled up or flattened out for storage – taking up less space than a reusable fabric grocery bag!

I love the bright colours, and we opted for the blue bag. It is highly visible, so we will not be losing sight of it in case of an accident or incident on the water.

Another reason I chose this bag was that it has a handy adjustable strap, so it easily goes over my shoulder for carrying, or clips through one of the seats on the canoe while we are in the water.

Overall, I am happy that this bag turned out to be as awesome as I wanted it to be – I would highly recommend it for any outdoorsy or fitness guru people!
