Always get my dollar's worth!
Cat toys at the dollar stores are inexpensive, effective, but hardly indestructible. My cats love to play with toys like these, but often we end up pulling brightly colored feathers out of their mouths. However, the whole family enjoys playing with the cats and all of the toys we have purchased at places like these.
Will buy again
I have a tendency to by the little stuffie cat toys with the Velcro pouch of catnip. My cats go crazy for it! Some of the other toys I’ve bought from there fell apart quite quickly(usually the ones on a string that you dangle over your cat) the laser pointers are great fun though
Cheap but functional.
I buy these toys for 3 reasons. One, they're cheap. Two, the cats love playing with them. And three, if they break or wear out I can go buy more b/c they're cheap.
Cheap cat toys
Love dollar store cat toys! My two kitties are constantly loosing or destroying their toys. Not the best quality but really for the price I still find it definitely worth it.
Love them
My cats go crazy for these. I love that they are so affordable since my cats distroy their toys anyways atleast now I can buy them more toys. The toys seem to be holding just as good as the more expensive toys.
Cat toys
I like buying cat toys at the dollar store. They are not long lasting or perfect toys but they are worth their price and my cats love them. They should have a better selection though for cats.
Worth the price
I have bought many toys from the dollar store as my one cat (of three) likes to just destroy things and as a result spending more money at the pet stores is usually just a waste of money. There are definitely some products that are better quality than others but generally for the amount of time they survive in my house and the amount of use they get it is worth the money that is spent.
Money well spent imo
They are not LONG LASTING, Perfect toys. No. BUT they are worth their price and my cats love them. I have bought almost every single cat toy all my local dollar stores have had. I do however believe they would benefit from adding more of a selection, as i find the doggy area amd even bird/gish area have a decent selecton. Cats could use more selection. My favorite one by far was the mesh toy amd treat holder. I could clean up all my kitties toys and have them in one place, and my cats would play with it for hours at a time. Will continue to buy cat toys here :)
Not for me
I've bought a few and find my cat breaks them within a day. The prices are great but the quality isn't there. Also I find the dollar stores I go too don't have a great selection when it comes to cat toys. Most of the shelf is filled with dog toys. I personally would prefer to get a little bit more use out of the toys before he breaks them. After all, depending on which dollarstore you go to, you're not really paying just a dollar anymore.
On a positive note, most of the toys that you find are waaaaaaay cheaper than the actually pet store. Usually when my cat breaks the toy, I don't feel too bad because I could be paying for the same thing at the pet store for 3 times the cost. The toys I stay away from, but I do get a few other things for my cat from the dollar store besides toys.
Great for kittens!
My sister recently got two kittens and they are super hyper. She bought them a bunch of toys from Walmart, Petsmart and the Dollarama. The kittens love the toys from the dollar store. They love the balls with bells in them and chase them around for hours. They also have this toy which is a stick with a string and mouse on the end and they absolutely love playing with it. Their hunting instincts come out and they craw on the floor to get it. These toys are so cheap and I am actually surprised at how durable they are. There are many to choose from. I would highly recommend for cat owners.
