Doesn’t work. Masks odour at best

I have used Dove deodorant for years. This product did not work for me at all. Normally, I only need to apply deodorant a couple times a week. This I applied 2-3 times a day and I still smelled horrible.

It's okay

The smell is kind of strange to me - I didn't like it. The quality didn't really last long. I need something that gets me through the day, which this product doesn't do.

Scent doesn't last long.

I purchased this hoping it would be a long lasting product. I had to reapply multiple times throughout my shift. The 0% aluminum was great but the scent doesn't last.

Worse deodorant ever

I had high hopes for this product. I wanted to go for a more natural product and the results were awful. I keep sweating like crazy for a minimum effort and I start smelling after a couple hours. What a waste of money!

Glad it was free.

The Good: I liked the scent of this product.

The Bad: I found the texture of this deodorant to be most unpleasant.

The Ugly: It didn't work in the heat! I spend a lot of time outside sweating in the sun during the summer, and my usual deodorant handles this just fine. Not this one - I was a stinky mess by the end of the day.

Love the idea, hate the feel.

I was SO excited to try the Dove Alumunum-free antiperspirant because I am already a regular user if Dove antiperspirant, but have wanted to switch over to a safer, aluminium-free version. From the very first use I knew I would not be able to wear it on a regular basis. Unfortunately it left my skin extremely sticky and uncomfortable. I can't stand when my skin sticks together when I put my arm down, it drives me crazy. I'm unsure of why all alumunim-free antiperspirants seem to have this issue. Surely there must be an alternate ingredient that would take the stick away if the product. The smell was nice, as all dove antiperspirants seem to be, but I just cannot handle the stickiness. I do appreciate their effort to make an aluminum-free version, I just hope they can create an even better version that is not so sticky.

I had high hopes but was disappointed

I had high hopes for this deodorant, I really want a deodorant that’s aluminum free but it has to actually work, that’s where this fails. The scent is super nice, a subtle yet refreshing cucumber scent. The first time I used it the scent lasted about 12 hours with mild weather and light activity. However the next day it lasted less than 4 hours while I was working quite aggressively in the heat. It was super disappointing to say the least. I guess this deodorant could be for you if you don’t work out or do anything active but otherwise you will need to reapply this constantly. A far cry from the 24 hours of coverage it claims!

Not impressed

I got to try for free the new Dove 0% aluminium deodorant in cucumber and green tea scent and I’m not impressed with it at all. Sure, it has a pleasent subtle scent and I like that it’s aluminium free, but that’s all thats good about it. When I applied it, it felt wet and I thought the wetness would dry off in a couple of mins but to my surprise it made my armpits sweat even more after 30 mins in this summer heat! It did not keep me dry and odour free, it actually brought out my armpit odour more-yuck!! And after a few days of wearing it, it made my skin have an itchy burning sensation that I just had to stop using it completely! Overall, I would not recommend this, maybe it may work for some people in the winter time where not a lot of sweat is involved, but I would definitely not recommend using this in the summer time!

Not the best

Although this is an affordable aluminum-free deodorant, I didn't find it worked. I was smelly halfway into my night shift and regretting my choice to test this product out in public. For some reason, this also made my underarms incredibly itchy, I don't have any known allergies (besides Morphine) so I'm not sure what would have been causing that effect but it was very uncomfortable. The scent was great, not too chemically and light and refreshing, but a good scent doesn't make a product work. Unfortunately, Dove needs to go back to the drawing board for this one; For now, I am sticking to my regular natural deodorant brand.

Smells great but doesn’t last long!

I personally would not purchase this deodorant as it did not work for me. I found I had to re-apply at least once, sometimes twice depending on the day. It smells super good when you open it -too bad it didn’t work, was very soft tho!
