Really wanted to love it.

I actually received this Dove Anti-dandruff dryness & itch relief as a free product in exchange for a honest review. I really wanted to love this shampoo since I have been a fan of Dove since high-school. I used to use their Volume Shampoo and Conditioner on the regular. Their Beauty Bar is also used religiously in our household. Their products are reasonably priced and are not overly fragrant. But I'm not a fan if this shampoo! It did nothing for my dry scalp, it actually made it worse. My scalp got oily a lot faster than when I use my regular shampoo. My hair also started to itch right after my hair was dried. I followed the direction to a T.  It was really creamy and moisturizing while using it and had a nice mild gummy bear scent. But after I washed it off and let it air-dry my scalp felt itchy right away. I tried it two more times just to make sure it was due to the shampoo. I was curious as to why, so I looked up the ingredients. Top ingredients (SLS, sodium chloride and parfum) can be irritating for the scalp thats already dry and sensitive. Also, it has dimethiconol which my scalp doesn't do well with. So unfortunately this shampoo will be a no-no for me. I can say I am pretty disappointed. Hopefully they will change to less irritating ingredients.

This made my hair sad

I am super bummed that this product didn't do what I hoped it would. My scalp remained itchy and flaky, dispite the fact that the conditioner left my roots greasy after a day and the lengths of my hair dry and frizzy. I normally swear by dove, but this just didn't work for me.

Not for me

I did not like this at all. Although the smell was pleasant (which I was surprised by, given the strong smell associated with most dandruff care products) this did nothing to make my hair more manageable. I have long, thick hair and I could barely brush it after using this conditioner. I won't be buying it again.

No purchase again

I got this from a drug store sale.I've been using John Frieda for years and I wanted to try something new.But this decision brought me just disappointed and regret.

Left my hair feeling heavy and gross

In was chosen to try for free the conditioner FROM dove derma care plus scalp dryness and itch.

It was free, and I ended up giving it away. It made the itchiness come back and my hair felt like I never rinsed any conditioner out.

Had to use a build up remover to make my hair feel normal again.

I would stick to just your regular conditioner. But use the shampoo if you have an jtchy scalp

Doesn’t work

I received this product to test and had my hopes up because I’ve tried way too many anti dandruff products throughout my life.

First of all, tone down the fragrance please! It’s way too strong! It’s like hugging that aunt from out of town who likes to pour an entire perfume bottle on her. Yikes!

How’s my dandruff after using this? Still there, hasn’t improved whatsoever. It actually dried out my scalp, leaving it itchy and irritable. Also, my hair doesn’t feel as soft as it would using another cheaper product I normally use. Dryness with dandruff is not something I want!
