Husband was not keen on packaging.

My husband received the Dove Mens deodorant which came with a handsome stainless steel reusable container. It was a bit of a pain to put the refill in. He did not like the scent and would have preferred an antiperspirant. He also felt there was too much product hiding out in the base of the refill pack that couldn't be used .

Good

I like the shape and how compact it is. the casing and packaging was amazing. The smell is nice and I love how easily is glides. Con: I find the handle too small. It had a sticky feeling when applied and I found it got stickier if I sweat.

Long lasting deodorant

I was pleasantly surprised with Dove’s new refillable deodorants. The container is compact and cute, the refill is 98% recycled. Your deodorant does not get dried until you are ready to use it and fits well in any bag or purse for men or women as it is discreet. It works well, not sure it totally provides 48hrs of coverage but it is not worth the cost compared to other deodorants you can get for about $3-4. This is quite costly and does not fit within my budget so I highly doubt I would purchase the product once my refill was over. Still it’s nice to see a company being socially and environmentally responsible. Would recommend to friends and family. #gotitfree @dove @ dovemencare #chickadvisor @chickadvisor

Déodo chic

Le concept du déodo rechargeable est très intéressant. Le boitier est très classe. Il s'applique bien et est effica contre les odeurs et la moiteur. Petit bémol l'odeur pourrais être un peu plus masculine.

More like a sample size

I received this for free from chickadvisor / butterfly testing panel.

I have mixed feelings about this deodorant.

The positive is that there is less ware and the deodorant smells great and lasts long keeping me dry all day. I also find that ethically it is very attractive.

The issue I have is the amout of deodorant for the price tag is not acceptable to me. This is more of a sample sized deodorant not a full size like I'm used too. This will not last very long and the refills are also very expensive. You would think that considering there is less packaging that it would cost less than competitors for refills instead of the same cost for a full sized deodorant.

With all of that said I would buy it again if it was not overpriced in my opinion.

Interesting Concept

The idea of reducing packaging is great, however you need something that works well for people to buy it too. I'm hopeful that Dove Men will continue to work on the packaging issues of this product so that it is more functional. As currently designed the deodorant stick breaks off the base too easily because there is no support for it. While remembering to be gentle and applying it straight up-and-down seems easy enough you only need one rushed morning to forget and have a broken stick that really can't be used. The product is much too expensive for that. The product itself is great, and what I'd expect from Dove Men. The Clean Touch scent is not overpowering and the product provides day long protection with no aluminum. The stainless steel case is sturdy and feels comfortable when you're using it; however the lid won't stay on, it keeps popping up. It is a great start in the effort to reduce.
