I only had one opportunity to try this product out but so far I liked the results and I especially liked that the shampoo was clear. It lathered up well, cleaned my hair well and had a nice subtle scent. When I met up with friends after I washed my hair and gave them a hug they all told me that my hair smelled good. That's a win for me! I'll be using up the rest of the bottle.

Got this free. Smells so good! Marking this separate from the conditioner, Without conditioner I don't notice it leaving my hair any softer than some of the other shampoos I use. But it is less drying to the scalp than cheaper shampoo, so I rate the effectiveness as very good. I might get this again just because of the scent.

I was so excited to receive Dove Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo. I was looking forward to the coconut and lime scent, plus the hydration my dry hair needed. It came in a flip top plastic bottle, and the shampoo itself was clear. It was a welcome surprise when I first used it. I loved the coconut water and lime scent, it was nice and fresh. My hair was a little dry, and I felt that Dove's Hydration Shampoo (and conditioner, which I used as well) did help moisturize it. I like this, great job Dove! I recommend the Coconut and Hydration line, and I would buy these again.

I was happy to receive this product for free as part of the Product Review Club. So here's the thing: I actually really liked the shampoo, but I will probably never buy it again. Here's why: It smelled great, lathered well, and overall felt (I mean physically, in my hands and hair) like a really quality shampoo. But it claims to leave your hair feeling "soft, smooth, and beautiful", and I disagree. Once I rinsed it out, my hair actually felt more dry than before. You really need to use it WITH the conditioner for it to properly smooth and hydrate your hair - the shampoo on its own doesn't cut it. When I compare it to my regular brand (which is less than half the price and feels more hydrating), it just doesn't cut it. Ultimately, the price just doesn't equal the quality in my books.

Love this shampoo, the smell isn't too strong (although I don't really find that it smells like coconut) leaves my hair feeling soft and tames the frizz.

I was really impressed with this shampoo! Unfortunately, due to a late arrival, I was only able to try this shampoo once before reviewing. But my hair was 3 days dirty and put it to the test. I shampooed twice, as per usual (I have long, thick hair, so I target the top of my head and crown the first wash, and the sides and back in the second wash). I could tell right away that my hair was super clean! It lathers nicely and rinses quickly.
It has a nice fragrance, although not as coconut-y as I would like!
I'm not sure if it was the shampoo, the conditioner or the combination, but my hair (which is normally pretty shiny), had a definite glare coming off of it!
For these results at this price point, I will definitely be buying this again.

Dove's Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo comes in an attractively designed 355 mL plastic bottle. The bottle's label is informative, containing information about the shampoo's benefits and some easy-to-follow directions.

Scent:
One of the best qualities of this shampoo is its fantastic scent of coconut water and sweet lime! What a great combination! So fresh, and it smells great. I like the fact that the shampoo's scent isn't overpowering, thus making it a shampoo that my entire household can enjoy.

Ease of Use:
With short hair, I found that less than a teaspoon of shampoo is required for full coverage, and for longer hair, about a teaspoon. Dove's Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo lathers up quickly and it's easy to work through one's hair. I didn't encounter any problems rinsing it out.

Effectiveness:
Dove's Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo did a great job of cleaning and hydrating my hair. It left a subtle and pleasant scent of coconut water and sweet lime in my hair, and my hair felt light and squeaky-clean.

The Verdict:
I really like this shampoo, so much so that I will continue to purchase it in the future. It cleans and hydrates just as well as any other shampoo I've used, however, its scent is superior and it doesn't weigh my hair down as much as other shampoos. I would not hesitate to recommend Dove Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo to a friend.
