I only use Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Treatment conditioner from time to time. My hair is fine and I find this conditioner to weigh my hair down, so I only apply it to my ends.
My biggest beauty quest is an anti frizz product. I have tried tons and decided to give this a go. Yes it helped with my dry frizzy prone hair, it kept it quite smooth after my blow out but I have to be honest after a few hours and humidity my hair took on some frizz. It's a nice product, makes my hair shiny and soft but I still am I
On my quest for the one!
For someone, like I, who had oily hair, you have to be careful with this. It adds more oil to your hair. Just use a little just at the end. I would try this again in the winter, when my hair is a little less oily, than summer.
This conditioner came out of the body like liquid gold, it was so rich and creamy it almost didn't want to come out at all! However, it didn't wow me much after that. It was so thick that it was hard to rinse out completely, and when I did I feel like I rinsed away all of the good stuff. My hair still felt dry. Not impressed.
I really love the regular conditioner from this line and thought I would try this as well. It's not bad, but I noticed that my hair is heavier and has much less volume. I think I'll stick to the regular one.
I was so excited when I first saw this product at Walmart as it seemed so promising for my dry, damaged, frizzy hair. I am very disappointed to say that this product did not help at all. I feel like this actually made my hair look worse than ever and I will definitely not be repurchasing. I usually love Dove products but this one was a huge miss in my books.
I have long medium /thick hair that is pretty healthy since I do not colour treat my hair and rarely use blow dryers or straighteners. I tried this product thinking it would leave my hair feeling soft and refreshed but it didn't do anything special that a regular conditioner used daily can provide. Not worth the money and the quality was mediocre at best.
I really wanted this to work for my dry hair that needs deep intense care this winter. All the claims on the bottle sounded great: nourishing oil care, daily treatment conditioner with weightless nutri-oils, advanced care & repair.
The directions say use a quarter size - I always use more. It also says leave on 1 minute - I always leave on longer, more like 4 minutes. (I have lots of fine curly hair.) It didn't feel very luxurious or even very creamy. And most importantly, I couldn't comb out my hair with a wide tooth shower comb! My hair was so tangled, I had to comb it out using another creamy product when I got out of the shower. :( My hair didn't feel deep conditioned or repaired. The 2nd time I used it, I used 3 times as much, and I was able to comb my hair. But I don't think it's a proper value when you have to use that much of the product (not the amount they claim).
