This was my first time trying a hair oil and one thing that really surprised me was that my hair wasn't left greasy at all and didn't become greasy any faster than usual. Especially as I often sleep with my hair damp, I fully expected to wake up the next day with that undried, greasy product feeling at the nape of my neck and that...didn't happen. Every time I used this my hair dried completely and was left silky, soft and glossy.

I feel like this product adds a loooot of shine. When used with the Dove range of Daily shampoo and conditioner, your really left with extremely soft and beautiful hair (again it does take the natural wave out of your hair, so be sure you want hair to be left straighter).

I really love the smell of it, it's kind of nutty, a little bit shea like, but not quite either of those. The consistency is awesome, because the oil is actually quite thick, so when applying it your fingers don't feel slippy or greasy at all.

I was suspicious because the instructions said to use 4-5 pumps and I have shortish hair. But using 2-4 pumps on my hair still didn't leave it greasy, so I think the amount doesn't have to be exact. Make sure to use this on DAMP hair rather than dry.

Pros:
- Leaves hair very soft.
- Smoothes hair and tleaves it extremely glossy.
- Thick consistency doesn't feel slimy.
- Smell is very pleasant.

Cons:
- Doesn't work well with haircuts that require a natural wave or curl!

Curly haired ladies who don't want to lose their curly locks, avoid! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants straighter, softer hair.

I have oily hair and I LOVED it! I enjoy Trying all the new oil products for hair. This stuff is great if you use a flat iron because they fry your hair and these oil treatments really help a lot. This product tamed my hair and conditioned my dry ends from flat iron use. My hair is very fine and I can use all the help I can get when it comes to protecting the ends of my hair which over time just die even if I really try not to cook them with the high heat.

I received the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil from Chick Advisor as part of their product review club. I have dry damaged hair from using my blow dryer and hair straightening iron. This oil really helped to start to heal some of the damage that was left behind by this as well as leaving my hair feeling smooth and smelling wonderful.

This hair treatment was average for me. My hair did not respond well to it and it left it feeling heavy. I have very fine hair, which could have been the problem.

I got this product for free with the review club. It was my first Time using an oil in my hair as they get greasy in no Time. So i was very careful with the amount i used and it was just fine! Loved the smell and made my hair look healthy.

This is the best stuff ever! I originally got a small sample of this in my Walmart beauty box, and immediately was blown away by how awesome it was. I've never used a product like this before, so I honestly don't really have anything to compare it to, but I have some killer dead ends (I haven't gotten my hair cut in a year...whoops) and using just a small amount of this stuff makes it look like my hair is fresh, healthy, and perfect.

This is the first time I ever heard of this product. I am kind of skeptical about applying hair treatment with oil on my hair since I always of the view that it will make my hair looks greasy/oily. Like the shampoo and conditioner, it smell great. Very easy to use. I only apply it after I washed my hair. It actually absorbs fairly quickly to my hair and sometimes, I even wonder if I apply enough amount to my hair or not (since the oil absorbed so quickly). I did see that it helps to make the ends of my hair more soft and silky (I have straight long hair).

I love the performance of this product and I would recommend to people that who are looking for reasonably priced hair treatment.

Treated my hair with this product during winter, as indicated, and loved the results. For fine hair, apply less product than indicated to avoid greasy results. Kept my hair shiny and strong all winter!
