I received the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil for review from Chick Advisors Product Review Club. This treatment oil smells amazing! I love the way it left my hair feeling so soft and healthy looking. The packaging was also very nice for a drug store product.

This lightly scented hair oil is lightweight and non greasy. It quickly absorbs in hair making it shiny, silky and smooth. I love blow drying after applying this because it gives me the shiniest, loveliest locks ever.
I get so upset, looking at all the frizz because before I moved to Calgary that never happened! My hair was naturally pretty smooth but things are different now, may be it's the water, or the weather or just the heating. I hate frizz and I am so happy to have found this gem.
Apart from the heavy dose of silicones, this dry oil does have macadamia seed oil, coconut oil & sweet almond oil as the first five ingredients, so there is a good concentration of these. No wonder this works, just as advertised, or may be a bit better.
Applying Dove Pure Care Dry Oil is really simple too. I only need 4-5 drops for my long hair. It's recommended to spread the oil between your hands and apply to clean, damp hair from mid length to tips. You can blow dry or leave to dry naturally. I usually do blow dry because it eliminates the need to use a flat iron later on to smooth.
My hair stays smooth till I wash it off. Even if I just apply it to wet hair after shower and let it air-dry and then style with a flat iron, it gives me the smooth, shiny and silky hair. I really love this. It's a miracle product. I haven't had static in my hair ever since I started using this.
This can also be used as a pre-shampoo treatment. I have never done that because, I am so lazy with pre-shampoo treatments and like I said, I sometimes, do an overnight oil mask.
I love using the Pure Dry Oil as a pre-styling treatment and then I straighten, curl or blow dry my hair depending on what I want to do that day.
Another thing I must mention is that please do not use this on your roots. Those heavy oils and silicones in this treatment can really clog pores and do more damage than good. Its best to follow instructions and apply this from mid sections to tips of your hair. If you have short hair, use it only near the tips. Its does spread out nicely once you brush your hair or heat style it.
Overall, a great product at an affordable price point and it reminds me of another very expensive hair treatment, that is quite similar to this but 3-4 times more in price. I will share that one soon.

This oil is an essential to my daily hair care routine. It always leaves my hair silky soft and shiny and never oily. It smells lovely like a baby. My bf compliments the smell all the time. My hair isn't at all greasy and is lightweight though I applied this dry oil. This especially is AMAZING when I'm styling my already-dried hair using a hair straightener.

I was very sceptical to use this despite the nice spicy aroma because my hair tends to get that greasy weighed down look after using most oil products but I was very pleased with the results
First I washed and dryed my hair with dove then I applied the pure care dry oil with African Macadamia oil to my hair while still damp. I applied a small amount and it combed through my hair very easily. I let my hair air dry before straightening it and the results were fabulous. My hair was not greasy or weighed down. It had a nice shine to it and my hair was frizz free. I would recommend using this product and I will be adding it to my hair care regimen.

I have been using hair oils for a few years now. I treat my hair so poorly it really is the least I can do for it. Dove’s Pure Care Dry Oil is a really great product – especially for $12.99. A little goes a long way – so I have been using 2 pumps instead of 4 pumps. If you use too much it can leave your hair looking a bit greasy so best to start with less and apply at the roots and move upward along the strands.

I received the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I've used to tame flies after straightening my hair or when I tie it up. I applied it to damp hair from mid hair , to the ends. It worked great, especially to prevent split ends and just have soft hair after drying. It's a lightweight formula that didn't weigh my hair down and it smells great. Love it!

I tried the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment free thanks to ChickAdvisor Product Review Club! Absolutely love the smell of it. I use it while my hair is damp before i blow dry it. It does not make my hair feel greasy or heavy. It made my hair nice and shiny and smell so good! I would definitely buy the product and make it a part of my hair care routine when blow drying.

When I received my parcel from ChickAdvisor containing Dove products to try and review, I was excited for everything expect this hair oil. I have extremely fine hair, and was apprehensive about using an oil that would likely weigh down my hair and make it look greasy.

I finally tried it this morning and was pleasantly surprised with the oil - it most definitely did NOT weigh down my hair, nor did it make it look greasy or oily. Most impressively was the scent, it smells wonderful! My hair has always been soft and shiny, so it's hard to tell what difference this hair oil has made, but I'd definitely recommend this product to those with super fine hair that need some shine or softness, but are worried about traditional hair oils that would weigh down their locks - this product has all the benefits without the negative drawbacks.
